If you would've told Lauren she was gonna marry her high school sweetheart, she would've smiled

If you told her they were gonna have twins, she'd laugh.

If you told her they were getting a divorce six months after their wedding she would call you a liar.

But here she was, waking up alone. Lauren runs her fingers through her head, getting ready for work. Her hangover was very present and doesn't know how she was gonna survive the day. "I don't think staying up at the bar was a good idea." Lauren winces at her cousins voice, and looks up to see Camila with her arms crossed. She didn't look too happy.

"Mila, please not right now." Lauren gets up and goes to the restroom to wash up. "Lauren you do know you have to pick up Honey tonight, Ally won't tolerate you being drunk and picking her up."

Ariana comes from out the hallway and places a hand on Camila's shoulder, "Baby, let her get ready, she knows what to do...Lauren there is breakfast for you to take when you leave." Ariana pulls Camila, who is just trying to look out for her cousin.

"I can't believe they're already getting a divorce, the twins haven't even come yet." Camila whispers, and Ariana shrugs her shoulders, "We can't help how other people feel baby, sometimes people fall out of love."

Lauren enters the room, quickly grabs the To Go plate and her bag, and leaves instantly. Camila frowns, "I hope Ally is in the mood for Lauren today."

-

"Mommyyyyyy." Honey yelled throughout the house. Ally was wobbling around the kitchen, her six month belly and height didn't go together so much. "Yes my love." She responds.

"Can I help you make breakfast." Honey asks, and Ally smiles and nods. The little girl was excited that Ally was pregnant with two babies, so Honey thought she had to be twice as helpful. "What can I do mommy?" Ally points to the cupboard. "Grab me two bowls, and two spoons pretty girl, while I finish stirring the oatmeal." Ally placed a hand on her stomach, feeling a kick.

She smiles, but can't help but frown at the face that Lauren isn't here. She doesn't know when it started to happen, but the fighting and the arguments, the staying out late and drinking, Ally couldn't handle the stress. She knows Lauren tried, they both did, but they thought Divorce was their best option.

"You miss mommy too." Honey's word sounded more like a statement than a question. "Of course, are you excited to see her today? She's gonna get you after work." Ally hated this, the separation, the switching everyday, and especially the loneliness.

Ally hears knocking at the door, and sees Dinah and Gordon. "Good morning guys, what are you two doing up so early on Saturday?" Ally opens the door, and gives them both a hug. "Just wanted to check on you, preggers, and my beautiful little niece." Dinah kneels down to catch Honey who is running toward her. "Hi auntie Dinuh, I go see my momma today." Dinah smiles at her, then looks at Ally. "That's good baby, go finish your breakfast, Gordo, go with your cousin baby." The little smiles, and runs off with Honey to the kitchen.

"Have you even tried talking?" Dinah asks.

"It always leads to fighting D, I don't know what it is, she gets so angry, then I get angry, so we both just become angry people." Ally looks like she wants to cry, and as much as she wants to blame hormones, she knows it's because she misses Lauren.

"Why can't the stupid idiot just let me love her?"

-

"Why can't the stupid idiot just let me love her, Mani?"  Lauren throws down the rag she was using to wipe the firetruck's wheel with. Normani looks at her friend, and shrugs her shoulders. "Lauren, I can't even begin to tell you how to fix this, I think you both need to accept the fact that it's over and move on."

"Don't tell her that, she needs Ally in her life." Sgt. Johnson comes out of his office, and looks at Lauren. "Jauregui, you know I love you like a daughter right...." Lauren looks down, and nods her head, giving him a small "Yeah."

She's shocked as she feels her rag slap across her face, "Then man up and get her back! I didn't practically raise you just so you can run away!" Their boss goes back into his office, leaving a giggling Normani, and a still shocked Lauren.

"He's right though, I don't think you should give up just yet."

"I don't know Mani, I fucked up by going out and getting drunk because of a little stress." Lauren admits.

"Just give Ally that good good, I know if she's not miss you, she's missing your little friend down their." Normani lets out another laugh, before feeling Lauren's rag slap against her face.
