'Good morning, bellezza.'
I smiled as I walked into Mirage's office. I didn't had to be here but Lennox had to drop something off and I volunteered to bring it instead. A stupid excuse to see Mirage. 'Hi, Mirage... Lennox asked me to bring you this.' I handed him the files. 'Thank you.' He took it from me. 'Working on something exciting?' He shook his head. 'Nah, it's boring.' He opened the case file. 'Shall we have lunch at 1:30?'
He looked up and grabbed his agenda. 'I already checked. You have a meeting at 12:30 till 1:15 and then you have 1.5 to have some lunch because 2 AM, you have a training session with Ironhide.' He closed his agenda. 'You already checked?' I gave a small nod. 'Yeah, I uh... was curious.'
He hummed. 'Alright, why don't you book a table at the lunchroom across the base?''I already did.'
He snorted and slumbed back. 'Of course you did.' I smiled a little. 'You would be a good spy,' he said. 'I know. Does stalking come close enough to spying?' He chuckled, 'close enough,' he replied. 'Alright, see you later.' I turned back towards the door. 'It was a trick, wasn't it? The file thing?' I turned around while holding the door. 'I just thought that bursting through your door and telling you when you're free would sound a little weird and creepy. People dislike it when I know their schedule for today, I hoped the file thing would make it less... weird I guess.'
'It is creepy but I do the same thing, so...'
I smiled and left. Mirage is kind. Megatron warned me not to trust Mirage. He's smart and he sees and notices a lot. I just couldn't help myself. The Autobots are the opposite of the Decepticons and I felt more relaxed around them, then around the Decepticons. Dino however, makes my world spin and my heat beat faster. I wanted to keep feeling that. I shouldn't be around him as much as I do, but I wanted him to make feel happy and alive.
That afternoon, we had lunch. I scanned the lunchroom briefly. 'Have you ever been in Rome or Italy in general?' He looked up from the menu card. 'I have, once. Consider it a business trip,' he said,— smirking. I snorted. 'Are you settled in yet?' He asked. 'Yeah, I guess. It's hard to settle in a busy city if you have lived so isolated from everyone and everything.'
He hummed, 'why did they do that anyway? Are we talking about a group or the cult?' He mocked. 'A group. Large group.' He glanced at me again before handing me the cart. 'If they're so bad, why don't we take them out?'
'We?' I asked. 'Yeah, why not?' He asked and shrugged. 'I can help you,' he added. 'It's not that simple and I got rid of them. I don't wanna look back.' He studied me. 'You're scared. I can sense it.''No, I mean... I bet you're good. I doubt your skills or judgment, but it's something I don't want to get reminded off anymore, so...' I trailed off. He hummed and I laid the card down. 'Of you're scared I get to know all your secrets and you don't want that.' I snorted and but my lip. 'How far am I from the truth?' He mumbled. 'I—' I smiled sheepishly. 'Close, huh? I am glad you don't underestimate me. Lots of people do.'
'I've never underestimated you. I know you're good and I know you are able to get to know the truth. I don't want you to get involved into this.' He bit his lip. 'What if I do? In what kind of trouble would I be in?'
'You would bring me on the edge. The only reason I told you what I know is because you would ask questions anyway soon or later anyway and I trust you.''If you full trusted me, you would allow me to help you.'
'I don't need to be saved. I am fine and living here now.'
'I am not talking about saving you but making things right.'
'You don't have to help me with that, Mirage.'The spy sucked in a breath and nodded. 'Alright, as you wish,' he mumbled. I changed the subject, before he would ask more questions. 'Working on something interesting?' He glanced at me. I already knew the answer, but asked anyway. 'Well, not much. I wish I had something cool to work on. My fellow Autobots are mostly teasing me about the fact I got beaten up by a con. I don't think it's that funny overall,' he mumbled. I hummed. 'Just ignore it. They'll stop eventually when it's not funny anymore.'
'I try...'
I locked eyes with the spy. Usually, it would be awkward, but I couldn't stop looking into his beautiful blue orbs. It made my world slowly down and my heart beat faster. I still hated the feeling he was giving me. He's the mech Megatron warned me for and now, I think I start to really like him. Megatron will kill me for that. I am sure of that.
I looked away. 'You have a lot of mysteries I'd love to solve.' I glanced briefly at him. 'I hope you don't.' He snorted. 'I am glad anyway you wanted to have dinner with me,' he mumbled. 'Yeah, I bet. Usually, I am not the type of person to do this kind of stuff, but I couldn't reject your offer,' I sighed. 'Of course you can't. No one can resist my offers,' he purred. I smiled. 'Anyway, I hope we can have more lunches or dinners together,' he added slowly. 'Really?'
He nodded. 'Yeah, I think that... you're interesting,' he said and smiled. 'Maybe I can warm you up a little bit. You always seem to act cold and distant,' He added. I snorted and rolled my eyes but little did he know my heart already started to warm up for him.
