Early Monday morning I drove to a studio in Downtown, LA for the Phoenix shoot.
"Karen Yates contacted us about changing up your look," Daniel informed me.
My pale white hair transformed into shades of the darkest brown in only two hours.
"It almost looks black," Phoenix said when the colorist finished.
"I love it," I said, looking in the mirror. I did not recognize my reflection.
The clothes for the shoot, dark green, blues, black, and gray colors. Layered Sci-Fi hoods, oversized shirts, and athletic-leisure wear. More chainmail items in greens, blue and silver. The line reminded me of my favorite books and movies come to life, a wardrobe stolen from my craziest dreams.

Tuesday night the five of us sat in our seats at the YA Studio for the official table read before filming began on the project. Lowe and Karen sat front center in the first two chairs of the audience. Assorted members of the HBO team and representatives from each actor filled the rest of the room. Constance Stone waved to me from her seat next to Gray Suit.
Gray Suit wore a dark blue suit, but the group already nicknamed him last year.
Lowe read the principal's role.
"An original Breakfast Club cast member will be playing the role of the principal", Gray Suit informed us.
The group of five seeing my dark hair, and Andrew's crew cut talked amongst ourselves, joking, and checking in with each other before we began. All of us focused on appearing to be a cohesive, close, group of besties.
We breezed through the table read, thankful for it being our third attempt. The team of adults wished us good luck on the castings. Lowe informed the room, "Non-filmed team meetings would continue during the series. Since all the [behind the scenes] portions are a huge part of the docu-series. Expect real authentic rehearsals and meetings that will not be filmed."
