Tuesday.
Back in the library set the next day at six am, already finished hair and make-up.
The Shooting Schedule:
Principal realizes the door has been closed and tampered with. He tries to prop it open with a chair, he forces Andrew to move a metal magazine rack in the doorway and Andrew falls over the rack and the Principal's rage levels continue to increase.
Principal and John Bender fight.
These scenes took all day and into the night.
While filming the scene where Andrew tries to prop the door open with the magazine rack, while Andrew worked on his shots the documentary cameras stayed on the four of us sitting at our desk. Every time they yelled cut, Carrie attempted to make conversation with Simon.
"I bet being nominated for an Academy Award was such a cool experience," Carrie said, spinning in her chair towards Simon.
"I guess."
"Silent Road is one of my favorite movies," Carrie said, her voice getting higher pitched as the conversation continued.
"It's OK."
I could see Carrie wracking her brain for the right question. I thought I'd ease the tension. I looked at Leah and tried to signal her by widening my eyes a few times.
"I've never seen Silent Road. I heard it's really boring." I said
"Oh my god, it is...do not watch it...you'll never get those two hours back." Leah added.
Simon laughed.
"Carrie, how long have you been dating Andrew?" Simon asked.
Carrie's face shifted from shock to fear and then a second of anger before she settled on dumb.
"Andrew?" Carrie asked as if she didn't know anybody by that name.
"Yes, your boyfriend." Simon reminded her.
"He's not my boyfriend...were not...."
"Oh, sorry...my bad." Simon looked at Carrie, with a smile more evil than Leah's.
"Okay quiet on the set, try it again. Action!" Lowe yelled.
Andrew pushed the magazine wrack into the doorway and then slid down falling into the ground.
"Cut!"
Carrie directed her attention to me.
"Did you like the way the Diesel ad came out? Carrie asked.
"Uhh..yeah...I liked the crowns and the jackets..." I couldn't think of anything clever to say.
"Oh I saw it, you too were almost naked. I loved it. Both of you looked hot as hell." Simon said
"Thanks!" Carrie said, thinking she finally won Simon over.
I smiled but didn't say anything.
"Carrie, did Andrew care about you, shooting in your panties and bra with another guy?"
"No, he's not the jealous type, that's why I think we make such a good...." Carrie stopped mid-sentence, covering her hands over her mouth.
Nobody said anything.
Leah started a slow clap towards Simon.
Simon stood up and took a bow.
Carrie looked pissed.
"Remember there are cameras filming everything, Carrie...not just your boyfriend over there," Simon said.

Leaving set that day the five of us headed to our cars in the lot.
"I don't know why you hate me so much," Carrie said to Simon.
"I don't hate you," Simon replied.
"Come on!" Carrie yelled, throwing up her arms.
"What's the big deal? I didn't know you guys were trying to keep your relationship a secret."
"Were not...it's just...". Carrie couldn't find an answer.
"Simon you know exactly what you were doing," Andrew said, stepping in front of Simon, blocking his way.
Carrie started to cry.
"I tried to be nice to you, asking you about the Oscars," Carrie said, though he tears.
"Guys, leave him alone," Leah said.
"Whatever," Andrew said, grabbing Carrie's hand and helping her into his Range Rover.
The three us stood outside Leah's jeep, watching Andrew drive off.
"You are a genius," Leah said, patting Simon on the back.
"Very clever, I have to admit," I said.
"And like everyone knows they are dating... it's not a big deal! She is seventeen!" Simon said. "The fact that she's already a puppet for whoever runs her brand or whatever annoys the shit out of me. I wanted to catch her in a lie." Simon added.
"You did a hell of a good job," Leah said.
"You also manufactured a scene that will 100% be used in the docu-series," I added.
"I know how to play the game too," Simon said, almost to himself.
"You're probably winning," I said, messing up Simon's hair, trying to make him smile.
"Let's go smoke some weed, and fall asleep to a movie," Leah said, climbing into her Jeep.
