Summertime Euphoria[Catradora]

Chapter 1

The bell rang and at last, it was time. School was finally over. The day Adora had been waiting for. She, like everyone else, was hurrying to be let out of the dump they called a school. No more Ms. Weaver was something she was especially glad about.

Adora stared at Catra. She was with Lonnie, who never talked to her, Scorpia, Rogelio, and Kyle. Two entire semesters. Two awkward entire semesters. Today junior year was done. After summer, would come their last year of high school.

"Just talk to her." Bow's voice jolted her from her confused thoughts. She looked at him. "What are you talking about?" She asked.

"He means your girlfriend." That was Mermista. She looked at the girl who was on the swim team and blushed. "She's not my girlfriend."

"Yet." Glimmer chimed in. Okay now this was super awkward. Someone growled at her to move it while shoving her and she almost fell down. Gasping, she was suddenly caught in an arm around her waist. And who was she face to face with?

"Hey Adora~" Catra purred. Adora's face turned red and she just stared at her, trying to figure out what to do.

"Th-thanks for saving me." The blonde said eventually. Catra flashed a toothy grin. "You really need to stop being so clumsy." She teased. Adora felt slightly annoyed but she didn't care.

"But then again, you are cute when you're goofy so you can see the bind I'm in here." Catra purred and Adora felt even more flustered than she was before.

"Are you trying to make me feel awkward?" Adora sighed. Catra kept the same smug look on her face. "Is it working?" She inquired.

It was. And Adora hated that. Yet she somehow let it happen through all of eleventh grade. Catra slipping notes with Hey Adora~ on them.

"Hey Adora, come on, we're hanging out at my place today." Bow said. Adora watched Catra scowl at her friends then look back at her. "So, looks like I got an entire summer to mess with you, huh Adora?" She smirked. The blonde just stood there, staring like an idiot.

"Hey Catra, we're hanging out with Rogelio, let's go!" Scorpia called as she followed behind Lonnie, Kyle, and Rogelio. Catra nodded and looked at the girl before her. "See ya around Adora~" the girl walked away, catching up with her tall friend.

"Wow, that girl is really obsessed with you." Perfuma said and the girl nearly leaped out of her skin and out her hand on her chest.

"She's just annoying..." Adora scoffed, shooting Perfuma a soft glare. Although the disgust dripping off her words wasn't directed at Catra. She was partially disgusted with herself for letting such feelings for the brunette slip into her mind.

"Couldn't agree more." Glimmer jumped in. The blonde stared at her pink hair companion and they all walked away from BrightMoon High.

This summer would certainly be an interesting one that was for sure. They wouldn't be surrounded by the walls of BrightMoon High. Mermista was walking between Perfuma and Sea Hawk. "I heard that tall Scorpia girl has a crush on her or something."

Adora rolled her eyes. Catra could put her attention on Scorpia instead. But why did part of her not want that? Sure, Catra's games ticked her off and all, but deep down...it was interesting all the same.
