Catra sat scrolling through her phone. She was bored. Truly. Maybe Adora was around somewhere.

Man, that promise to stay away sure is working out well for you, she thought to herself.

The girl couldn't help it. Just...there was something about her that couldn't keep her away. Summer seemed to the time she could see her at this point since back in school they didn't have the same classes together. And she hadn't talked to her in a while since—

Her phone beeped.

Adora: Hey Catra

"What the hell...?" Catra stared at her phone. She stared. And stared. And star—yep this was real alright.

Opening her phone she sent:

What the hell do you want?

Adora: I wanna talk.

She typed: Funny how you wanna talk now but you didn't when you left me for your little friends...

Adora: I just...I needed to do some searching. My feelings were a mess at the time but I never vocalized it. I can't explain this through text. Meet me at Glimmer's. She's not home so you don't have to deal with her.

Catra, figuring she didn't have anything else to do, got her leather jacket and walked out of the house, closing the backdoor and heading to the address Adora just messaged her. Walking for a couple blocks, she saw the massive house.

"Mommy and daddy spared no expense huh Sparkles?" She mumbled to herself, pounding on the door with a fist.

It was opened and the brunette found herself greeted by the blonde herself, her blonde hair not in its usual ponytail. "Hey..."

"H-hey..." she reluctantly walked inside as Adora tilted her head for her to come in.

"I thought you wouldn't show up at first," the blue-eyed girl closed the door.

Catra snorted. "You think a lot of things." She mumbled. "So, you wanna talk?"

"Yeah. I've just been..." Adora sighed. "Like I said in my texts I had to find myself and I didn't wanna...hurt you with my weird feelings and—"

"So leaving me without a word was the way to do it?" Catra raised a brow.

Adora looked down. "I figured everything out...I was scared of how you'd see me if you figured it out..."

The girl's heterochromatic eyes were on her. "Figured what out?"

Adora was silent. Then...a sniffle. Was she...?

Catra got up. "Adora are you..?" Walking over, she tilted her head up to meet her eyes and see tears.

"I'm sorry my explanation's not good enough. I-I'm a stupid person I should have never messaged you to come here. You're not gonna forgive me for leaving." The blonde rambled out through choked talking.

"Hey hey, come on wipe your eyes." Catra awkwardly cupped her face and gently wiped the corners of her water eyes with her thumbs.

Jeez she's always been an emotional idiot...but then again so was I... Taking a deep breath, Catra looked deep in her eyes. "Your explanation is...explanationy."

Adora sniffled. "But I left you...for a stupid reason."

"Finding yourself isn't stupid Adora. It's what's people do and...I didn't understand that's what was going on." Catra said.

"But I didn't tell you. And my feelings are a complicated mess when I'm supposed to be perfect and have everything together, and if I'm not perfect then—" Adora found herself...in a hug.

"You're more than perfect. Whoever filled your head with that is...is..." Catra couldn't find the words. She just hugged Adora. What happened to her friend while they were apart?

The blonde sniffled again. "I love you."

Catra stood there, unsure of what to say or do. She was still holding Adora in her arms, her heart pounding at the words that just left her mouth.

"Wa-was that wrong?" The girl shuffled her feet. She looked like a child about to be scolded.

"No..." Catra replied.
