Chapter 6

Ador was washing the dishes as she, Mermista and Glimmer decided to hang out together. When they asked Perfuma to come along, the girl said she was busy doing some gardening at her place so she couldn't show up.

"Hold still, I gotta get this winged liner on right." The monotone girl told the pinkette.

"But my eyes are watering." Glimmer whined.

Adora chortled in response from the kitchen. "You are such a baby Glimmer." She teased her friend, who stuck her tongue out at her.

All of a sudden, she heard the ringing of a phone. Mermista groaned, giving the eyeliner for Glimmer to hold before seeing who it was. Another groan, though much louder escaped her lips. "Sea Hawk..."

"Maybe you could callback later." Adora shrugged as she walked over to the paper towels to wipe her hands clean of the soapy water.

The dark-skinned girl gave a huff as she answered her call. "Hello?"

There was silence for a moment before her eyes widened. "What do you mean you got distracted by a building and almost died!?"

Adora turned at the sound of the weird conversation. "Wait what?"

"Sea Hawk almost crashed his bike. I mean he's fine but what the heck!?" Mermista shouted into the phone.

"We should check on him anyway, come on!" Adora led them out the door.

"By my eyeliner isn't eveeeen!" Glimmer complained.

"This isn't about your uneven makeup now hurry up!" Adora screeched.

With that the group all rushed out the door. They just hoped Sea Hawk was alright.

When they got there, Sea Hawk was on a gurney going inside a hospital truck. "Mermista!"

"Sea Hawk!?" The dark-skinned girl raced over, her legs carrying her so fast it looked like her shoes barely touched the ground.

"And she says she doesn't care about him?" Glimmer whispered.

"My darling Mermista! I am alright, tis but a flesh wound, I was being silly about the whole dying thing." He said.

"Silly about the dying thing!? I don't think your leg is supposed to bend that way you colossal idiot!" Screeched the blue haired girl.

Sea Hawk chuckled and winced in pain. "Darling I think you should get in the truck with me if we want to get to the hospital and watch them tend to my leg, looks like it could take a while given the circumstances."

Mermista got beside him and the doors closed as the truck drove off.

"Tell her to come along but not us?" Glimmer huffed.

Adora glanced her way. "Well they are the closest to each other. Not that he doesn't like us less than her but you know...that bond they have. He did only offer her to ride with him to the hospital so his leg can be healed."

"That is...oddly smart coming from you." Glimmer just blinked at her friend's use of logic in the situation.

"What, I can't be wise or something?" Adora nudged her.

"I just hope Sea Hawk gets better. He looked pretty banged up." Glimmer sighed.

"Me too. I'll call Perfuma and Bow and tell them what happened." Adora pulled out her phone and began to do just that. She knew Glimmer couldn't face Bow right now. She was being a good friend.
