1999

After Brian's supremely adult birthday celebration everyone was looking forward to the debauched bacchanal that was sure to be their camping trip. Until then Jimmy was enduring another day at the beach watching Elliot in her bikini. It was a good excuse to leave his glasses off, sure his vision wasn't perfectly clear but did he really need a perfect view of Elliot's perky nipples as she came out of the ocean? No. No he did not. Not unless he could touch them at any rate.

"Jimmy, you look a little pink. Are you getting sunburnt?" Val called across to him as she sat on a towel beside Matt. They were the only ones sat with him on their little patch of beach. Brian and Zacky and some other guys were further down the beach tossing a ball around. Michelle and Elliot were just coming out of the water. Michelle stopped, one hand on her hip, to watch the guys playing ball as Elliot slicked her hair back and kept walking.

"I'm fine," he called back trying to tear his gaze away from Elliot as she stalked up the beach toward them. Even with his poor vision he was certain he could see the droplets of water sliding down her body. He wanted to help her dry off. With his tongue.

"Actually Jim I'm pretty sure you're not fine. You need sunscreen," Val replied her voice filed with an unspoken message.

Jimmy wasn't sure if the sight of a semi-naked Elliot had sent his brain offline or if it was just that he was too dense to understand Val's meaning. It wasn't long though before everything became clear.

"Elliot," Val said as Elliot reached them and picked up her towel. "Jimmy's frying in the sun. Can you help him out and put some lotion on his shoulders?"

Jimmy swallowed hard. Val was inviting Elliot to touch him. He let his eyes drift in Elliot's direction as she dried herself off, not wanting to be too obvious in checking her out. He caught a glimpse of Matt who was valiantly trying to suppress a grin.

"Sure thing," Elliot replied and held out a hand to catch the sunscreen that Val tossed in her direction. She dropped to her knees behind him and the feel of her tits brushing against his back had him groping for a towel to drop over his lap. Her cool hand slid up his back and pushed his head forward. "Give me some room to move." The sound that came out of the sunscreen bottle when she squeezed it into her hand made him snort out a laugh. He couldn't see her face but he swore that he could feel her rolling her eyes at him.

He shivered as she began to work lotion across his shoulders and he was glad for the towel in his lap when she leaned forward and whispered in his ear, "We don't want you turning into a tomato now do we? Otherwise I'd have to put you in a salad and eat you all up." Jimmy glanced down at his arms hoping to see a sunburn developing. Being the tomato in Elliot's salad seemed to be a fate to be devoutly wished for.

Elliot laughed, "Don't worry James, I'll do my best to prevent your transformation into a salad vegetable."

"Fruit," he responded as his eyes closed in bliss at the feel of her hands working across his back.

He heard a snort of laughter from Matt and Val's giggle. Brian's voice interrupted his reverie. "Who's a fruit?"

"Jimmy," Matt said.

Jimmy gave Matt a one eyed glare as he clarified, "I was simply pointing out that a tomato is a fruit."

Brian's confused grunt had him opening both eyes to take in his best friend who was standing, hands on hips, frowning down at him. "What the hell is going on here?"

"I'm saving Jimmy from third degree sunburn," Elliot said as she gave Jimmy's shoulders a couple of quick pats to let him know she'd finished. She dropped down onto the towel beside Jimmy and extended the bottle of sunscreen. "Jimmy, will you do my shoulders now?" Jimmy was about to respond with an enthusiastic yes and take the sunscreen when Brian stepped forward and plucked it from her hand.
