Jemma, Coulson, May, and I stood around the screen as security footage of their quinjet being hijacked by Gordon played on it. I couldn't believe my eyes, why would Gordon do such a thing.

"It was a performance, the Quinjet they stole only fired on the one building, nobody got hurt," Coulson explained.

"Except your guy," I confirmed.

"The explosion destroyed any evidence of foul play against him," Jemma said.

"Well the theater worked, every inhuman down there believes Gonzalous shot their leader and declared war," May cut in.

"Including Skye," Jemma commented.

I helped Jemma in SHIELD's laboratory. She was trying to figure out what was in Cal's serum that he injects himself with. Coulson walked in, wanting answers, and she gave them to him. He then left once more. Jemma scared me when she whipped around.

"You said you're inhuman, but you never explained your powers." Jemma's eyes gleamed with curiosity, "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," she said when she noticed my wide eyes.

"It's all good," I said before moving around her. "And it's complicated, I'm not entirely sure how to explain it." I lifted up an empty beaker, "well I am basically connected to the fourth dimension."

"The time dimension? How? I didn't know terrigenesis was that strong!" I could sense her mind trying to piece together what I was saying.

"Um it's not, I got my powers from the crystals, yes, but in very different circumstances... It'd be easier just to show you."

"How do you plan to do that?" Jemma's furrowed her brows in confusion.

"Like this," I said before placing both hands on either side of Jemma's neck.

"Hi I'm Lincoln Campbell, I understand how traumatic this has been for you." Flashes of memories went by as she traveled through the fourth dimension with Jemma.

"Woah, it's like entire universe in here," Jemma exclaimed, reaching out to touch a glowing green crystal that floated nearby.

"Don't touch that, it's a very important piece of the timeline." She instantly backed away and we continued to zoom through the time universe.

"Time is a very fragile thing." More memories.

"Then why mess with it?"

"The only way to mess with time is to use a live pathway."

The dark atmosphere opened up into the bright sky. Destruction rained from it as a giant alien glided through the air. Jemma ducked and screamed, however we went through it.

"Relax, we aren't actually in this timeline, I only brought our minds here, they can't affect us." I stepped over the rubble, I knew exactly where to go. A giant green monster crashed into the buildings above and a man in a bright red suit flew towards the glowing hole in the atmosphere.

"This is the-"

"The battle of New York, yes."

"You were here?"

"I was given my powers here." We arrived at an apartment building where the hulk had smashed through a few windows and walls in the process of destroying the Chitauri soldiers. Jemma followed me upstairs where I took us into one of the apartments. Screams were heard inside, Jemma, as if it were instinct, tried to help but I held her back. "She'll be able to see us in a few moments," I whispered and tiptoed around the pile of rubble that encased the noise.

"Somebody help!" A small, raspy voice echoed through the room.

"What's-"

"Shh, just watch," I said just as the room flashed white. When it was gone, so was the rubble, and there stood a young girl, about 13 years old. I pulled Jemma behind the nearby wall to stay hidden.

It started as a slight sting before the pain in my neck grew. I was forced to pull the both of us out of the fourth dimension. I screamed in agony as Raina was ripped from our connection. I pulled and scratched at the side of my neck for the pain to go away. It felt like a chunk of my skin was being ripped from my throat.

"Talia!" Jemma shouted as my world went black.
-
I awoke in a dense forest on the bridge again. I saw Raina's body hit the ground and Skye come into the dim light. She looked horrified at what Jaiying had done. I believed she was on our side as Jonas knocked her out.
-
The bright lights blinded me as I came to. Tears stuck to my cheeks and I had a severe headache. My throat throbbed and was bandaged tightly.

"Ah, you're awake," Jemma said with her British accent.

"Wha-" It burned when I spoke.

"You shouldn't talk, you injured your esophagus when, well we don't exactly know what happened." She handed me a notebook and pencil, "Care to explain?" I took it and began writing, wrestling with the IV that was in my hand.

RAINA DIED, I WAS CONNECTED TO HER AND HER DEATH FORCED THE SEPARATION, I FELT EVERYTHING SHE WAS FEELING AND THEN THE PAIN OF A PIECE OF ME BEING RIPPED OUT.

Jemma nodded, "it'll only take a couple days for your throat to heal, then you can choose to leave or choose to stay here at SHIELD." I stopped her before she could walk away.

HOW LONG WAS I OUT?

"You have been unconscious for a week." Jemma explained everything that has happened in the past few days. I no longer had a home, many of my friends had gone off the grid, and Jaiying was dead.
