Aya's POV

We spent all day and night flying on Appa and we finally decided to take a small break to regenerate our energy.

Aang and Katara practiced waterbending for a bit, Toph was relaxing, and Sokka was eating.

I didn't have much to do. It sucks knowing I can't openly practice my firebending. Katara is the only one who knows and I'm way to afraid to do it in front of her because the others might see it.

I sat a few feet from Toph and watched the Avatar waterbend with my sister.

My eyes locked onto him and I felt myself smile at the sight. After a few months of traveling with him and getting to know, I will admit I've fallen for the young Airbender.

He's just so kind and lovable and it's impossible to not like him. When we kissed in the cave, I knew I had fallen for him. He's the one.

I know I'm only twelve and have many years till I'm eighteen but I think Aang is the one.

"Staring is rude, Aya."

I jumped slightly from my spot on the ground and turned to see Sokka looking at me. Toph has fallen asleep and Sokka has moved over to me.

"I'm not staring. I'm watching them." I corrected him.

I heard him chuckle, "no, you're watching Aang. Just him."

Sokka has joked about mine and Aang's relationship before and it bugs me.

"Why does it matter?" I asked him now turning my attention to my brother.

"Listen, I know you like Aang it's obvious." Sokka mentioned and I averted my eyes, blushing.

"Even I know it and I've been with you guys a day." Toph suddenly spoke and we looked at her. She had one eye open and a smug smile. "I'm blind but it's obvious."

I rolled my eyes and stood up.

"Whatever." I muttered before I walked over to the two benders in the water.

"Oh! Aya!" Aang's voice echoed in my ears and I gave him a smile. Bubbles swam over to me and I picked her up. "Watch this!"

Aang performed an exquisite waterbending move and I applauded him. He truly is amazing.

"Wow! That's amazing, Aang." I praised and he blushed at my words. "You're quite the teacher, Katara."

"Thanks." Katara grinned. "Well, Aang, I believe we've trained enough today."

They bowed before Katara left the lake we were in. Bubbles hopped out of my arms and began to swim around more.

I giggled at this.

Aang and I were left alone in the lake. The others minded their own business, I hope.

"Um...Aya." I looked towards Aang and he seemed nervous.

"Yes?" I asked. I walked toward him so we can could be a foot away from another. Aang grew about an inch or two so I was even smaller now compared to him.

He played with his fingers and I was concerned. Aang is not one to get nervous, so this worried me.

"It's okay. You can tell me." I assured him, kindly.

He nodded softly and let out a small breath.

"Okay, I was wondering if y-you wanted t-to go on a date or something. Just us." Aang's face turned bright red and my cheeks heated up.

He wants to date me? The Avatar asking a normal girl out.

I stuttered for a moment and nodded. "Yeah, I loved to."
