It had taken Donatello less than an hour to pick your face out of the tape. You were the only one looking absolutely horrified at 6:40 A.M. Moving into the dojo, he nudged his meditating brother with his foot to get his attention.

"Yeah?" Leo snapped at his brother for ruining his already failing attempt at proper enlightenment.

"I found her." This got the blue bara to his feet in a split second, moving towards the monitors with long strides and a stern face. Donnie rushed to keep up and slid into his rolling chair to bring up your terrified face.

"What's with the face she's making?" Donnie shrugged and clicked the spacebar to loop the feed of you rushing down the street towards a local subway platform.

"My guess is she was late for work. With her picture I was able to find her social media so I could get more information and see if she posted anything about us. Nothing on her Instagram, Twitter, or Tumblr. She doesn't have a Facebook so that's not an issue. She does have two different accounts for each social platform though. Her name is Y/N, by the way."

"I really don't care what her name is. Why does she have two accounts?" Donnie clicked to bring up your Instagram accounts to sit side-by-side in the larger main monitor.

"Looks like there's a personal account and a business account where she sells art- paintings mostly. And according to the bio all the proceeds goes towards helping the local community and even international endangered animal programs. All in all she seems like a sweet person." Leo snorted blandly and scrolled down your art account to see if you made anything that could be hinted towards him or his family. Nothing so far. He had to admit, the pictures were really good. Apparently your last piece on the account was sold to a gallery that went for almost $3,000.

"Yeah a sweet person with a lot to gain by exposing us to the world." He grumbled and crossed his arms over his chest stiffly. Donatello shrugged and minimized his window that had her accounts pulled up.

"Well she hasn't made any sort of indication that she knows about us at all. Are you sure she saw you?" His bored expression flattened into one that screamed that he wasn't in the mood to be questioned.

"We literally stared each other down, Donnie. She saw me. Do you have anything else on her?" He clacked around on his keyboard some more to dig deeper into your past. Leo felt a twinge of guilt at snooping through your life like this but he kept it at bay by telling himself it had to be done.

"Let's see... born in H/T (Hometown) on (month/day/year) then she relocated to the city for her job and her art. Has a cute pet named P/N. No state license, apartment in her name, utilities, the usual. She seems pretty normal to me."

"A normal person living in the heart of Purple Dragon territory? Doubtful." The techie brother shrugged again to answer Leo. He didn't quite understand his brother's urgent need to find this girl, but if Leo thinks she could ruin their system then he's got to trust his leader's choices.

"So what do we do from here?" The oldest brother looked down at the ground for a few seconds before setting his jaw in a final determination.

"From here I do visual recon." At his words Donnie jolted upright from his hunched position over the keyboard, honey eyes wide behind his thick glasses.

"Wait what?! But the sun is coming up! We still need to set up some kind of timetable for her schedule, determine if she has any unsavory acquaintances, stay under Purple Dragon radar,-"

"Donnie, I meant when it's dark. As part of my usual patrol routes. Like you said we still have a lot to get done, we have until sundown. You said she has all her utilities in her own name, right? What's her phone number?" The techie brother furrowed his brow ridges and fought down the amused smirk that clawed at his lips.

"Why do you need her number?" He may have hidden his physical amusement, but it was still present in his voice. Leo rolled his eyes and shook his head at his younger brother.

"It's so I can text her and be her best friend and tell her all our secrets- putting ours and her life in danger tenfold." The sarcasm was practically dripping from his words. "It to track her Donnie. We may not be able to catch everywhere she goes with the cameras."

"Oh, right. Duh." The bara nearly smacked himself for overlooking that obvious aspect. "Okay, I have a track on her phone if she goes anywhere we'll now. But we can't do anything until sundown- in about 12 hours." Leo listened to see if his brother's had already gone to bed to try and fit it in before training with Master Splinter. And now that he had gotten over his initial shock of being seen, he was feeling sleep-heavy as well.

"Perfect, until then I'm getting some sleep like Mikey and Raph. You should do the same." He patted his lanky brother on the shell, Donnie's response was a distant 'yeah, sure.' Leo chuckled at him before wandering off to his own room to squeeze in at least a few hours of rest. It was a restless sleep, plagued by micro-nightmares of his deepest fears.

He dreamt of losing everything: his sensei, his brothers, the city. Nothing was spared and nobody was shown mercy. Even a certain H/C haired beauty was ripped apart before his eyes.

This was the case for days- train, dream, patrol, surveillance until sunrise, repeat. It was boringly monotonous. Until Friday night. You came home with a massive smile on your face and changed into clothes that looked like you had dipped them in every jar of paint known to man, a blush heating his cheeks when your stained coverup slipped down to reveal the fact that you wore nothing but that coat and overalls with a rip in the knee. Not even a bra.

He leapt from the apartment complex across the alley over onto your rooftop, this time much quieter than the night you saw them. He wasn't sure what he was doing, but his body was going and he pushed open the balcony doors, hiding just seconds before you turned around with a to-go box in your hands. Shaking free of whatever had previously possessed him in thinking of actually entering your home, Leo launched back over to his hiding spot and continued his stealthy guardship.

You were doing well, happily swaying and bobbing to the music that floated out your open balcony doors. You finished a beautiful piece of hues of blue and streaks of gold that burned Leo's cheeks since the dominant color matched his mask and eyes.

He had completely missed the team of men with dragon tattoos enter your building and nothing seemed out of place until a knock on your door made you throw some lemony yellow paint to your floor. It seemed you weren't expecting company. His heart rate skyrocketed when you pulled open the door and met with a pistol muzzle at your forehead. A hulking man with sandy blonde hair and a trio of thick scars on his jaw filled the entire doorway as your body tensed up in terror. Purple Dragons.

"Are you F/N L/N?"
