Leo huffed to get air into his lungs, spitting a glob of crimson onto the concrete to try and get the metallic twang of blood from his mouth. Electric eyes scoured the blackened alleyway he had fallen down into, searching the shadows for the smallest movement that could lead to where that massive creature was hiding. For something so massive it moved stupid fast and hit nearly as hard as Raph on his rage fits.

What the hell was that thing?

"Don't go running from a fight, turtle boy!" The reptile's teeth ground together in annoyance as the haughty voice of the Purple Dragon's leader grated on his nerves. Tough words for someone who won't fight fair. Leo did a quick once over of himself to check for life threatening wounds. Nothing but massive bruising and a few new chips to his shell.

He'll survive.

Concrete rumbled as pebbles rained down on his head. That huge beast is back for more. One of his blades was cracked and would shatter with the next hit, so for now he had to make do with one sword. Gripping the hilt in his right hand, he waited for the huge monster to rumble a bit closer before making his move.

Jumping from balcony to balcony, Leo went flying out of the blackness like a bat out of hell. The soles of his makeshift shoes scraped and slammed against the figure's plated stomach with enough force to make it stumble back with a low and hateful growl. Swinging his blade, he sliced into the soft skin between plates. An ear piercing shriek shattered the night sky as it howled in enraged pain.

The weight of Leo slamming into the heavy beast finally got it to stumble into the glow of the city around them. Thick skin rippled with strength as scales and spikes coated every inch of its shoulder and back. It's elongated snout ripped open to bellow out a bone shaking roar that made the blue banded leader cover his ears so they wouldn't burst.

"Alright, we get it. I hurt your feelings there's no need to yell." Leo grumbled once it had gone quiet. In response, the beast chuffed at him and charged. It dropped onto all four limbs as it ran. Leo anticipated to simply leap over its lanky body, but he didn't anticipate the alligator mutant making a swift 180 and swing its behemoth of a tail to crack into his side.

A few spiked scales pierced into his flesh and ripped sideways as it sent him flying. Shell met with concrete as Leo cracked into a building a few streets away. Lifting his arm, he hissed in agony as the ruined skin between his shell and his plastron gushed blood down his leg.

"Fuck. That tail has quite the whack." Using the sword as a support cane, Leonardo jumped off the building and hit the street. Pain radiated through his body on impact and he stumbled to his knees. He spotted a manhole cover a few feet down the street, but he knew they could easily follow the blood trail he would definitely leave behind in his current state. Reaching into his pocket, he dug out his phone and tapped on the call icon next to the name he needed.

"Leo?" Donnie's voice echoed through the speaker. He must have him on speaker phone, like he always does.

"Don, are you finished with the surgery?" He huffed breathlessly as he dipped under an awning to keep from being seen by the Purple Dragons or their scaly pit bull.

"What's wrong?" The sudden switch in his tone let the leader know that he caught on to the pained exhaustion in his call.

"I... I'm badly injured with-with no medical equipment." Leonardo's words started to slur and stutter as his vision turned black around the edges. This wasn't good. Blood loss was a bitch.

"Alright, I've got your location locked. Don't move I'm coming for you. And don't hang up. You need to slow the bleeding. Where are you injured?"
