"Hi.  My name is Ember."

Her voice is soft- sounds like an angel's.  But then, she isn't.
After greeting everyone (which made them uncomfortable and weary about her), she took a book on the shelf beside the sofa where she and other ladies are currently sitting in.  She held a book in her left hand revealing her code bracelet.

She has a number. Just like everyone else inside the waiting room.  Seeing her code bracelet, everyone's faces were filled by confusion as they remembered that she introduced herself with a name.  This is because demons don't have names.  They only have numbers as their way of stating their identity.  Sure, angels also have codes.  But all of them also have names created and given for them.

Ember on the other hand is unaware or rather not bothered by her surroundings.  She doesn't seem to care about what the other ladies think of her as her forest green orbs continuously moves as she read the lines of words written in the book.

The place where they are at isn't heaven nor hell.  They are at the common place.  The higher common place.

There are two common places in this world.  One just below heaven and one just above hell.  The common places are the boundary realms separating the human realm from  heaven (the highest realm) and hell (the lowest realm).

The common places are the only realms where angels can meet demons peacefully and vice versa. The human realm is a different case as though it is the battlefield between the control of the light and dark side.

"Number 101145, you can now come inside."

Someone has spoken behind the speakers followed by someone standing up. A lady of medium height and curly black hair stood up and walked towards the white door.  The door automatically opened as the lady approached it.  The other ladies waved the black-haired girl goodbye before going back to what they were doing earlier once she completely entered.

Ember just like earlier did not care about her surroundings. She seemed to be drowned in the flow of what she is reading.  Well, its not like the others care about her anyways.

The books here are different from the other realms.  They are bound with a spell which prevents others to read it once someone already does.  To make things clear, the book that Ember currently reads will appear as a plain black-covered empty book to others as long as she's not done reading it whole.

Since she's got nothing else to do, she'll just continue reading until her turn to the appointment room comes.
