An hour or so before the sun would set. The sky is painted with different shades of blues, pinks, purples and oranges. Gentle winds comes back and forth making the leaves of the surrounding trees rustle.

The swings creak as they move back and forth. The slides have a queue of children beneath them waiting patiently for their turn. The ones who are finished would either look for another spot to play in, or run to the end of the line and wait again.

Several children are playing tag. Some plays hide and seek. Others are making sand castles in the sand box. Their joyous laughters and squeals fill the air of the late afternoon.

Observing the children from a park bench, Ember swings her feet back and forth while enjoying the sweet, fruity taste of the lollipop in her mouth. She glanced at Zyriel by her side and gave him a childish, happy smile.

"The children seems very happy at this moment," holding the lollipop on her hand to start a conversation. She went back to watching the children.

Zyriel looked at the kids before replying,"Indeed they do." He then let out a sigh gaining Ember's attention.
"I wonder what it feels like to be a kid."

Ember just nodded. "I'm currently wondering about that too. You know," she shrugged. "Clearly I have been a kid... but I don't remember those times. Wait, angels doesn't experience childhood?"

The guy just gave her a rather sad smile.

"Angels are created as what they currently look like. We were never kids."

Ember just nodded in understanding before looking back at the children and continued eating her lollipop. Its amazing how Zyriel finished his lollipop so fast when she is just in the middle of finishing it up.

She is rather calmed by watching the children playing peacefully. None of them are fighting or yelling at each other because of a negative reason. All of them are friendly and are very understanding with those who are smaller than them. These children are good with dealing with people.

"I'm gonna get you!!!" A girl probably of six years is running after a bunch of squealing younger children. They were running around in circles, in front of the seesaw even in front of the bench where they are at.

The children's fun was interrupted when the girl tumbled in front of them. The younger ones did not seem to notice and continued playing by themselves. Ember seeing the girl fall down was immediately concerned about how the girl is. So she bent down on the ground to see if she is alright.

"Anything hurts?" She asked the girl.

The girl just beamed before standing up. "Nope. Everything is fine." She then turned to Zyriel and gave him a sweet smile before sitting on the bench.

The two grown ups was rather shocked by the little girl's action. There is nothing wrong about it but it just caught both of them off guard.

The girl just looked at them innocently before giving both of them a smile. Ember sat down again. Only this time, there is a girl between the two of them.

"May I know both of your names?" The little girl asked.

"Only if you tell yours," Zyriel playfully replied.

"Oh right..." the little girl between them blushed out of embarrassment. How impolite of her to ask their names without saying hers. "Sorry about that,"she smiled apologetically. "My name is Ellipsis. The kids call me Ellie."

Ember looked at her as if she is thinking thoroughly about something important. "I think I'll call you Ellipsis," she smiled.

"Hmmm. Okie," she gave them a smile that shows all of her teeth. "So...what are your names?"

Zyriel was the one to talk this time. "I am Zyriel. And that girl you are talking to is Ember."

Ellipsis made a hand motion as if she wants Zyriel to lean closer to her. And as Ember expected, he obeyed the little girl's request.

"She's very pretty, don't you think?"she whispered. The guy just chuckled before nodding.

"No fair!" Ember exclaimed. "How come he gets to know things and I don't?" The other two just laughed lightly at her complaint.

The girl just ignored her complaints after that and just went on swinging her feet below. The sky is kind if darker right now.

"You two look good together. Are you a couple?"

Now that's unexpected...both of the grown ups thought. Kids these days...
Zyriel just chuckled lightly before giving a reply.

"No Ellipsis. We are not."

The girl just pouted. "But you two look really good together..."

The guy just gave out a tender smile.

"Ellipsis, things aren't always what they seem. What seems complicated to you can either be easier or even more complicated for the grown ups. Just because a guy and girl hangs out together doesn't immediately mean that they are together in a romantic way. So...we are just friends," he explained.

"You don't love her?" Ellipsis fired another question. Zyriel just let out a playful defeated sigh and scratched his nape before answering.

"Little one, I would like you to know that love comes in different forms and aspects. Not only romantic ones. And regarding your question..." he paused. "Yes, I do. I love her. Because she is my friend."

The little girl seems to be contented with the answers she got. She still wanna keep talking and ask more questions but then she doesn't have anything to say.

The sky have dimmed more right now. And the air is starting to become chilly. Ellipsis started coughing nonstop. And even if she doesn't want them to see her like that, she can't help it.

Ember started to worry more as the girl's little frame was shaken every time she coughs. After only a few moments, a nun came rushing to where they are with worry painted on her face.

"Ellie, I've been looking for you. Thank goodness you're just here. I thought you were lost or hurt or I don't know..." the nun was very lost in her worry that she just noticed the two other people that kept the little girl company. She just gave them an apologetic and grateful smile before thanking them properly.

"Thank you for keeping my girl company. Its not really good for her to be alone. I am Sister Marife and both of us are from the orphanage just a few blocks on the right. You can come over anytime you want. Just...just not tonight though. We will be most thankful for a visit. And...once again, thank you. We should get going now," she smiled at the two of them before carrying the coughing little girl on their way home.

Even in her current state, Ellipsis managed to give both of them a wave which the two of them returned. It's also been a long day for both of them. So both of them need to go back too.
