Safiel's stern gaze made its way back to his face. No trace of the laugh earlier can be seen and Ember is becoming nervous each passing second. She placed her hands in top of her thighs before she stared at her fidgeting fingers.

"Don't mind what I just said. It just slipped. And no, I'm not gonna stop talking if that's what you're nervous about," he casually dropped two sugar cubes on his cup while talking.

Ember lifted her gaze to her cup and started to think how many sugar cubes she will drop in.

"You look very serious even though you're just probably thinking about how many sugars you will drop. Anyways, enjoy your cup while I continue," he smirked before he took a gulp in his cup as if he is not affected by the heat.

Ember took the jar of sugar cubes and held the small tongs. She started to pick a sugar cube not minding Safiel's intent stare on what she's doing. In the end, she dropped four sugar cubes before placing the jar back on the table.

Safiel hurriedly finished his cup before he decided to continue.

"Acme and Nadir are said to be good friends. Together, they are know as The Fates.  After the humans have been created by The Fates, they created their own people. Nadir watched as Acme sculpted angels- the perfect creatures of light that has glorious wings. During this time, both of them have learned that they have the power to give life to what they created. Acme made angels and ordered them what is right. Nadir on the other hand had decided to make his own people different from what his friend created. He created only three. Lucifer, Satan, and the Devil."

Ember stared at Safiel as if trying to get his attention letting him know that she's holding in a question she's really curious about.

"You look like a cat. What is your question, Ember?"

"How did you-," wait no. She can only ask a question. She's sure he would not answer if she would ask two or more questions.

"I mean, Why did Nadir created only three? And aren't those names pertain to only one?" Her questions made the red-eyed angel smirk.

"I will only answer one question, Ember," shoot she forgot about that. "Nadir created three to rule hell for him. These three are the perfect creatures for him. Theses three did not have wings. They had horns and tails. He sent them immediately to the human realm to spread evilness. Gathering evil souls that they can bring to hell. These evil souls are either tormented or become ones who torment. Those who chose to torment others become demons, like you."

Ember did not say any word. She doesn't remember anything about her past life and that isn't important at the moment. She's making sure that she will remember every detail being said.

"Despite the difference between Acme and Nadir, their friendship continued. Acme has appointed higher angels that would create more angels. But since the higher angels doesn't have the power to give life, Acme would disguise himself once a year to give his new people life. Whereas Nadir have to do nothing," he continued.

"Time has come that these two became very curious about the possibilities. This is where this project began. During the very first time of this project, the demons would stay with angels in heaven and angels would go down with demons in hell. Before the allocated three months is over, The Sphere found out what Acme and Nadir did and considered it reckless. Because of this, The Sphere decided that angels and demons should be far from each other. They casted barriers in the two realms making demons banned from heaven and vice versa. These barriers did not stop the leaders' friendship and curiosity. They decided to use their powers together to create new realms.  Realms for both angels and demons. The common places.  The Sphere decided to not interfere anymore after finding out that the two can make a realm of their own which means the two of them make a god."

Safiel took a bottled water from under his table and had a drink. He noticed that Ember is staring at him while listening so he gave her a small smile.

"You look like a kid. And your chocolate already became cold," he told her.

Ember took a sip on her chocolate and pouted upon learning that it is indeed cold. Safiel took her cup and held it with both his hands avoiding the handle. Slowly, steam started to come out of the liquid in the cup as if its temperature is rising. He then placed it back on the table.

"There you go. Be careful, it's hot," he smirked.

She shifted her gaze at the steaming cup, his hands and his eyes. She's not asking anything but her face is already talking for her. It clearly shows that she wanna ask how he did that.

"I am an angel of fire, and I'm gonna continue my story."

She nodded and slowly sipped inside the cup careful not to spill or be burnt. Safiel then continued.

"For centuries, this project has been going on. Three months, once each year. A demon can go back to being a creature of light or an angel turning into evil. If not, the demon remains a demon, angel remains angel. But demons staying as demons are more common than angels staying as angel. You see, angels should be perfectly good creatures. They should not fail or they will be punished. An angel's mistake in this project can lead to his fall. Question so far?" He asked.

"The demons coming back to the light... do they become angels?"

"No. Demons came from creatures inferior to angels and the three original creatures of evil. In short, they are once humans before living their lives on their realm. They only stop being demons and their souls become free. They would either end up as an occupant of the lower common place or be reincarnated as new humans in the human realm," he explained.

"What happens to the angels when they fall?"

Safiel's eyes turned cold before answering her question.

"Other angels will forcefully take their wings and drop them from the gates of heaven down to the human realm."

"Last question..." she stated as if asking him if she can ask another question.
Safiel nodded.

"Why are you telling this to me?"

"Zyriel," he replied. And as if on cue, the elevator door opened revealing a drenched Zyriel.

He walked out of the elevator before collapsing on the floor.
