Hours passed. Number after number was called. Angel after angel entered the appointing room. Once someone leaves the waiting room, someone new will enter.
Ember as expected doesn't care about her surroundings. As expected also, the new comers would seem anxious right after the moment they would see Ember wearing a black dress.
"Number 5132518, you may now come inside."
At last, her number was called. But to be honest, she would prefer being the last on for the day or maybe give her a few more moments before her number was called. Well you can't blame her, she's near at the ending of the story after all.
After hearing her number being called, she closed the book with a sigh before placing it back to the shelf. She stood up and walked towards the white door with everyone else's eyes following her. Upon entering, the waiting room's aura made a complete turn and relief flooded the angels when she shut the door close. No one in there clearly trusts her. She's a demon after all.
Entering the appointment room, she was greeted by a warm bright light. The walls are white just like what she expected. The other side of the room has another door identical to the one she entered. The left side have shelves and file drawers. In front of these shelves is a wooden office table, chair, and a sofa facing the left side.
On the right side is a giant glass window overlooking the outside of the building where they are at.No one else is inside the room. She remained standing by the door with her mixed thoughts and emotions. On top of those thoughts, she's nervous.
Sensing no other presence inside the room, she took a deep breath before walking towards the window. And she must say that the height adds to the beauty of a scenery. She can tell because she's currently at the tenth floor.
Now she's curious about how she would see the buildings, the town and the valley outside if she would be on the higher floors (probably on the 50th) and if all the appointing rooms all look the same.
After several minutes of gaping outside, she decided to sit down on the dark grey sofa. She once again looked around observing the things inside the room. The black wooden table and chair, the light grey shelves and drawers, the black books.
Getting impatient, she stood up and walked towards one of the shelves taking a random book. Just as she expected, the pages are blank. Just as she was about to put the book back, the door opposite to the one she entered opened.
A man was revealed. An angel. A creature of light wearing a white polo and jeans. His height... He's probably several inches taller than six feet. Ember felt small (she really is) considering that her height is only two and a half inches above five feet.
She hurriedly placed the book back and walked towards him. She stood beside him for a second before sitting on the sofa. He's an entire foot taller than her! He's a giant!
For some reason, she felt shy. Maybe its because of his brown wavy hair that looks naturally messy but soft at the same time that looks hot on him and can cover his eyes if not swept to the side? Or maybe its his eyes? Those two orbs with the colour of the night sky and even seem to have the stars within them.
No. Its... its not just that. Its how he looks as a whole. The way he stand with confidence yet looking very humble at the same time. He looks very calm, relaxing even. Its like... like he's producing good vibes inside him and he's spreading it out to the place where he is.
Smile. He gave her a smile. And right now, Ember perfectly know that she is staring at him but then she is too dumbstruck by how good he looks like so she could not take her eyes off of him.
He chuckled fondly and went to sit beside her. Light suddenly flashed on the wooden table. Once the light has gone, a white folder was left behind. Ember, still dazed about everything, did not seem to notice the folder.
The guy then reached it and read it himself. He sweetly smiled before starting to talk.
" So you are 5132518... we gotta do something about that. I can't call you by a number all throughout the time we'll be together.
He's... dazzling. Especially his smile. Its like he... he overflows with positivity.
And Ember? Well... she's still Ember. And she's still staring at him.Realising the silence that seemed to go forever, the guy smiled once again before continuing to talk.
"I hope we can get along well my lady. My code is 82518953, but you can call me Zyriel. And the first thing that I hope we can do is think of a name for you."
"...for you..."
"...for you..."
"...for you..."A female's voice. Ember heard a female's voice inside her head which snapped her back to reality.
"A-A name... I, uhm, actually have one. My name is Ember," she finally started to talk and even gave a shy smile afterwards."You've finally said a word," he chuckled. "I thought you would stay silent. Your voice is sweet by the way. And your name is lovely."
"Thanks," is her only reply.
He's very cheerful. And for sure, he's easy to approach.
"Well then once again, my name is Zyriel and I am your appointed angel guide, lady Ember."
He gave her a smile before leading her outside to do other needed things to file their case on this project.
