The rain stuck to the window, trickling down like tears across a face. The sky was dull and the droplets of rain found the window.

A little girl with long black hair and skin, the colour of polished wood, looked out the window. Gazing at whatever there was to gaze at.

Noises raged all across the house, the possible effect of a loud family gathering. Children's screams of laughter echoed all throughout rooms within. Chatter came from the lounge, adult chatter that apparently needed a whole two rooms to fill. Zola sighed, she wished Joseph was here, at least it would be bearable then. But yet again, Joseph was away camping with his friends, who she thought were obviously more precious to him than her.  But, nothing could be done about that so, back to the window. "Hey Zoe!!!". Joseph?! Zola spun around.
"What do you want Josh?" the child muttered.

"Do ya wanna play with me?"

She had had enough, the last thing she wanted was to play with a stupid boy.

"No." She answered simply.

Being the spoilt brat he was, Josh yelled,"MOMMY! ZOLA WON'T PLAY WITH ME!"

The adults quickly filed in the room followed by Zola's mother, Clara.

"Come on Zoeey, play with him." coaxed Clara. And just like that, Zola let it slip.

Suddenly, the plants kept in various places in the house, came creeping slowly towards Clara. The ground trembled,  walls broke down as if the whole earth was upon them. The child who was in the centre of this mess was glowing a light green.  Her normally brown eyes turned a dangerous green. Chaos erupted. Screams and yells were heard and then it all went black.
