*BEN's POV*

I searched through her laptop. Nothing special so far. A few games, some stories in Microsoft Word, and a few pictures but not many. Then I found him...

Apparently his name is Alex. She had a messaging app on her laptop... If I had known that, I wouldn't have let her bring this... We don't get wifi at the mansion anyway, and come to think of it, this will probably come in handy.

But what's so speacial about Alex?? I don't know why i'm acting this way about it. I just want to know her relationship with him... It's not like I'm mad or anything... There's just this stupid feeling in my chest. Oh what are those emotions that humans experience?...

Saddness... No, that isn't it. Happiness, defidently not. Anger... Well, slightly I guess.

Jealousy...

NO. NO NO NO NO. We don't get jealous. We get angry. We get homicidal. We don't experience jealousy. That's stupid. And why would I feel that way with her?.. She's just a pitiful human with other pitiful human friends. She can't live long if she's distracting me like this. She has too go... And soon.

I quickly flashed out of the device and looked around. She was lying on the floor, asleep. She didn't run?... She had the chance. I would've found her of course, but still, she had the chance.

I drew my sword out of it's sheath. She has to go... She has to. I raised the weapon over my head. I have to do this... I can find another assistant... I tried to bring the sword down, but struggled. I couldn't do it... I let out a loud groan and returned the sword to it's sheath.

"STUPID HUMAN!" I shouted angrily.

She awoke with a start and loojed around. When she saw me, she just sat there. She spoke softly.

"Are you... Ok?"

"Leave me alone..."

It was a nice gesture, but I couldn't let my guard down. She couldn't be trusted if she had this affect on me.

"... Do you need hel-"

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!" I shouted and drew my hand back to slap her. When she saw ny hand, she said nothing. She just covered her face with her hands in one quick movement. She was waiting for me to hit her, and I think I was too... I realized my hand never moved. It was just there in mid air...

"Go back to sleep..." I mumbled under my breath. She nodded and layed back down, making sure to keep as far away from me as possible. It was now that I realized how cold it was. I could see the.goosbumps on her arms and how she was struggling to cover her torso with her jacket.

I sighed silently and closed my eyes. I chanted in my mind a small heat spell that a friend had taught me, and with a flick of my wrist, I glided it in her direction. I could immediatly see the results. Her chattering teeth had stopped and the goosbumps went away. She sighed a small sigh of relief.

I scolded myself for doing that... I shouldn't do that to humans... But she looked so cold... I didn't have the heart to let her go the whole night like that.

You moron, you don't have a heart in the first place.

Still though... Helping this human brought me joy. I liked the warm feeling I got.

But I knew it couldn't last.
