*Eliza's POV*
I woke up this morning with Ben staring at me again. I gave him a weird look and he backed away. Was it just me, or was he blushing?
"You sleep alright?" He asked bluntly. I nodded in reply and sat up, to my surprise, very easily.
"Slender gave me some medicine... He said it would let you have a fast recovery."
But this fast? Two days isn't the proper healing time for a broken rib... Even with medicine.
"What did you use?..."
"Magic." He said quietly.
At first, I thought he was joking. But then I remembered the cut on my arm. The different "atmosphere" that I'm in at the moment. I believed him.
"Thank you..."
He nodded and got up off the floor. He walked over to his dresser to a plastic bag stuffed with something.
"Here. I went back to your house. Figured you'd need these." He said, while tossing the bag beside me. It was all my clothes. Yes, all my clothes. It didn't surprise me in the least that everything fit into one bag.
"We can find you more... If you'd like." He said quietly.
"It's ok. I can manage with these." I said with a small smile.
Ben nodded and grabbed a change of clothes from his dresser.
"I'm going to change in the bathroom. You can change in here."
He left the room, closing the door behind him and I looked through the bag.
I wonder what my parents are thinking. What about Alex?... Alex...
I missed them alot... I missed them so much, it physically hurt my chest to think about them.
I knew they'd want me to be strong though... They always thought I was strong for some reason. Not sure why... I mean, come on! Whenever someone would throw a punch, I'd put my arms up to block it; not fight back. When life got too much, I'd cry; not deal with it. Those are the exact opposite things one does when they're strong.
Or maybe, they're the exact same...
I found my favorite outfit. Nothing much. Just a simple T shirt and skinny jeans. The T shirt was one of my newer ones. It had Link from "Legend of Zelda: Ocaraina of Time 3D" getting ready to shoot an arrow. I loved Legend of Zelda to be honest... That's why it surprised me so much that "Not-Link" appeared in my room. I guess things are decieving.
I quickly got changed, not knowing when Ben would come back. I slipped my shirt on, just as someone knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Ben stepped in, carrying a tray of food. It had the basic breakfast food. A couple strips of bacon, some toast with jelly and butter, and a fried egg.
"Here." He said sheepishly. "Slender said that you probably couldn't hold a whole stack of pancakes after the effect on your ribs."
I nodded and munched on a strip of bacon.
"Thanks Ben..." I said quietly. He nodded and looked away. "Are you alright? You don't look so well..."
"I'm fine..."
"Want some?" I asked, offering him anything from the tray. He shook his head.
"I can go without food for weeks before my stomach even growls." She said, slightly stronger.
"Ok... Just asking..."
I continued to eat my breakfast. Ben was watching me again... He kept looking at me... Not when I was paying attention, but when I looked away. That's when his gaze never left me. I found it slightly annoying, yet... Flattering. I've never had anyone act this "obsessed" if Jack's theory was right... Still though, I was curious as to why he was doing so.
"What are you staring-" I couldn't finish my sentence. I didn't stop it out of fear. I didn't trail off. My sentence ended in the middle at an abrupt stop. It wasn't my choice, either. I couldn't help it.
I couldn't help the fact that his lips were locked on mine at the moment.
