Just 2 Strangers

It was pouring rain and I put my hood on, wrapping my jacket around me so I wouldn't get cold but it hardly worked. My clothes were still getting soaked and my legs started to shiver.
The sun was starting to set and the sky was a nice pink and orange colour but the other side was all grey clouds.

The first lamppost turned on and I saw Aidan standing below it.
A smile formed on my face when I found him. I knew he'd be here.

"Aidan." I called his name and he turned to look at me.
We both stood in the rain and he gave me a little soft smile.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me.
He moved his hood away from his face a little so he could see me properly.

"I don't think we got off to a right start and I wanted to apologise for accusing you."
"Accusing me of what?" He looked at me confused.

I looked at him and smiled "Accusing you off being a bad guy. I don't think you're a bad guy." I shook my head.
When he heard me say that, he blushed a little but I couldn't tell if it was from the cold or from embarrassment.

The rain got even heavier and it was practically starting to flood a little.
Aidan noticed that I was shivering and he raised his eyebrow.

"Come on let's go." He quickly grabbed my arm and we started to run.
I followed him but I didn't know where we were going.

After a few minutes we finally stopped running. I looked up and saw that we were at an old house. We were stood on the patio and the roof was stopping the rain.

My hair was dripping wet and it made me feel so uncomfortable.
I sat down on the bench on the patio and Aidan sat down next to me.

He noticed that I was shivering and he took his coat off and put it on me.
"Here." He said, wrapping the coat around me.
"Thanks." I gave him a nervous smile.

I leaned my head back and sighed.

I shut my eyes for a few seconds until I heard the sound of a lighter and I quickly opened my eyes to see Aidan lighting a cigarette.
He inhaled it and smoke came from his mouth when he exhaled.

I rolled my eyes at him "You've gotta be kidding me."
He grinned "This cig is the only ounce of warmth that I have inside of me." He held it up.

I didn't know if he was joking or if he was actually being serious.

The rain was still pretty heavy and I watched him smoke the cigarette.
"You told me not to make assumptions about you. So why don't you tell me about yourself?" I asked him and he chuckled.

"It's not that simple." He tapped the cig and the ash fell off the end.
"Why?" I carried on asking him questions.

He shook his head "My life is much more complicated than you think Malia."
"Then explain." I softly smiled at him.

He looked at me for a minute and looked deeply into my eyes.
"Its a long story." He said.
I shrugged with a grin "I got time."

Aidan looked back at the rain and then back at me.
"Follow me." He quickly said and just like that, I saw him run into the rain. I stayed sitting on the edge of the bench and I wondered what he meant.

"Are you coming or not?!" He yelled from a far.
I ran after him and I followed him to a car.

It was a Jeep.
He unlocked the car with a key and he opened the passenger door for me.

"Where are we going?" I raised my eyebrow and folded my arms.
"Don't ask questions. Just trust me." Aidan told me and I didn't bother asking him anything else.

I sighed as I got in the jeep and Aidan started the car.
He drove so fast that my back hit the seat. My eyes widened as he drove out of the woods and I held onto the sides of the seat because I was literally in the car with a stranger that could possibly kill me.

"You are driving way too fast." I looked at him as if he was crazy.
He burst out laughing as he gripped onto the steering wheel.

"That's the beauty of car rides Mal."
Is he out of his mind?!

"Aidan you might crash, stop the car!" I told him but he didn't listen.
I had no idea where we were going.

"Have you gone deaf as well as crazy?!" I slightly raised my voice.
He shook his head with a grin on his face.

"I'm sayin this one more time. Stop the car!"
He still didn't listen.

"STOP THE FUCKING CAR AIDAN!" I screamed with fear and he immediately hit the breaks.
I put my hands in front of me so my head wouldn't hit the dashboard.

I looked at him with anger in my eyes and I took off my seat belt.
"Mal." He rolled his eyes at me.

I quickly got out of the car and started walking.
"Mal where are you going?!" Aidan stuck his head out the window and yelled.

I turned around and looked at him "I'm going home!"
I carried on walking but as I went further, I realised I didn't know where I was.

Where is home?

I turned around a 360 and when I looked back at Aidan, I saw him laughing to himself.
He thinks this is really funny doesn't he?

I felt instant embarrassment as I dragged my feet back to his car.
Aidan stayed sitting in the drivers seat and he had a grin on his face.

"Can I help you find something?" He asked me as I sat back in the car.
I crossed my arms and said bluntly "Take me home."

Aidan started the jeep again and he started driving.
"You still haven't gotten an answer to your question." He said and I looked at him confused.
Huh?

"What question?"
He didn't answer back but carry on driving.

He drove up to these gates and there were 2 guards standing by them.
When the guard saw Aidan, he immediately opened the gates for him.

Aidan drove past the gates and up to this big house. It was practically a mansion.
My jaw dropped when I saw the place.

Aidan stopped the car and he got out of the car, opening my door for me as well.
I stepped out of the car and I looked at the house in awe.

"Who lives here?" I asked him.
He looked at me with his hands in his pockets "I do."

My mood completely changed and I pursed my lips shut.
Oh shittttt.
