BACK TO MALIA TELLING THE STORY-

After a few days, Aidan and I began to be really close friends. We walked home together after school, always went out for frozen yogurt and it became a normal thing for him to meet my parents because I didn't get butterflies in my stomach anymore.
We both told each other's secrets. It was us against the world.

Aidan became a lot happier as time went by. He wasn't as depressed anymore and he had a glow to him.

The teacher was handing out test papers for our English lit exam that we had a few days ago.
I remember I stayed up all night studying for that and I even helped Aidan study as well. He thought it was pointless but it really helped him.

The teacher put my test paper on my desk and I got a 82% out of 100 right.
"Good job Malia." The teacher said.

I looked at Aidan and he was kinda worried of what score he got. The teacher placed his paper on his desk and Aidan turned over the test paper. His shocked face soon turned into a big smile.

"I got a 94." His jaw dropped and I smiled.
"See I knew you'd get a good grade." I said.

He smiled "Thanks to you."
Connor interrupted "Why? Did you copy Malias test?"

Aidan turned around and glared at her "Why would I copy someone else's test?"
"yeah Aidan got higher mark than me." I backed Aidan up and said to Connor.

Connor chuckled "The only thing Aidan can get High on is drugs."
"Wanna watch your mouth!" Aidan raised his voice.

"Wanna watch my fist against yours!"
"Boys!" Principal Hosey came into the classroom and shouted.

Aidan and Connor stopped talking.

"Thank you. And I don't  wanna hear another sound out of one of your mouths!" She shouted again and she walked out of the classroom, shutting the door behind her.

I always knew Aidan never liked Connor and Connor never liked Aidan.
I didn't know if Aidan ever had a problem with me getting close to Connor but I knew sometimes Connor did get jealous whenever I was with Aidan.

Connor texted me everyday and the conversation always turned into us talking about Aidan.

~
"So when can we hang out again?" Connor asked me as we walked out of class.
I smiled softly and shrugged. "Well Is our date gonna turn into you complaining about Aidan?"

"Why do you say that?" Connor crossed his arms and gave me a confused look.
I chuckled "Because it always turns into you talking about Aidan."

"Well I'm sorry Mal but I just don't like him."
I sighed "What did he ever do to you?"

"It's not about what he's done to me, I've heard things about him. He went out with with this girl Alissa and they were happy together but one day they just broke up. Don't get me wrong, Alissa is one of the most hottest girls ever and Aidan looks like a full on crackhead so it's obviously his fault they broke up."

I glared at him "Connor, whatever happened with Aidan and that girl is nothing got to do with you so I think you should stay out of it."

"But Mal-"
Aidan walked out of the classroom and Connor and I both stared at him.
We both stopped talking and I shook my head at him.

"So when can we hang out?" Connor changed the subject.
I sighed "See you around."

I turned around to talk to Aidan but he was gone.
Great. I scared him away again.

I went to my locker to put my books in and when I opened my locker, I saw a note fall out of it.
I picked up the note and I opened it to see what was written.

The boat
Aidan :)

His Dads boat? The one they went on when Aidan was a kid.

I put the note in my pocket and I started walking out of the school.
Aidan and I went to the place where the boat was quite a lot but we never really took the boat out for a sail because it made him upset whenever he thought about his Dad. Maybe today he finally changed his mind on wanting to use the boat.

~
I reached to the lake and I saw Aidan standing by the deck, watching the water.
He heard my footsteps behind him and a smile formed on his face.

"Why're we here?" I asked him.
He didn't respond back but instead he got the anchor and untied the rope that was holding the boat.

I watched him climb onto the boat and he sat down.
"You coming or what?!" He yelled from a far.
I dropped my bag and I walked up to him.

He helped me get onto the boat and sit down.
"I've never been on a boat ride before." I said nervously.

He smirked "And I've never rode one before."
My eyes widened and I got a lot more nervous because he probably didn't know what he was doing.

"I think this is a bad idea then." I quickly said.
"Oh come on, nothing bad will happen."

I started to panic "No Aidan stop."
He looked at me and smiled "Don't you trust me?"

I sighed.

"No I do, it's just-"
"Then no problem then is there?" Aidan chuckled and he carried on rowing the boat.

We were very far from the deck and it was all water.
There were swans and flowers surrounding us. I couldn't believe I'd never been here before. Now I knew why Aidan liked it so much.

"Wow." I said in awe.

"Cool isn't it?"
He asked me and I nodded in response.

Aidan then stopped the boat in the middle of the lake and we just watched the view.
"See. I knew I'd be able to row a boat." He laughed and I shook my head at him and smiled.

There was a silence for a few minutes and I knew something was on his mind because Aidan looked like he was about to tell me something but then he stopped himself again.

"Mal there's something I've been wanting to ask you."
I lifted my head and looked at him in the eyes.

"What is it?" I smiled.
He took a deep breath and finally said it.

"Will you go to prom with me?"
