PLAY THE SONG NOW—

I couldn't find Aidan anywhere but I had a feeling he was either in an alleyway smoking a cig, in his car listening to the music on full blast or somewhere crazy. I let my sarcasm get the best of me at that point.

Where else could he be? The roof?

Yep, he was on the roof because it's Aidan. He does crazy things.

I went up to the roof of the wedding hall and the door was already open. It creaked open wider and I saw Aidan sitting on an old crate smoking a cigarette. Obviously.

"Aidan." I said his name and he turned around.
He looked ahead again and tapped the end of the cigarette, letting the ash fall.

He kicked another crate next to him and tapped it, signalling me to sit down.
I slowly walked up to him, being careful because I was deathly afraid of heights.

I trembled a little but I managed to sit down next to him.

"I took care of it." I smiled a little and Aidan looked at me with confusion.
"Huh?" He raised his eyebrow.

"I told them that they were perfect for each other because they're both assholes and then I threw my sparkling water at them both."
When I said that, Aidan chuckled a little.

He threw his cigarette on the floor and stood on it so it would go out.

"Thanks. I guess?" He said.

"You know Elliot's only trying to get in your head and piss you off right?"
"And he's winning." He looked down.

I shook my head "No, no he's not. Didn't you see Elliot's face when you told him you wanted to be a writer? Even his parents were praising you and Elliot couldn't stand that because you were showing everyone that you've got your life put together-"
"But I don't. I can never be this "perfect" son that they want me to be. It hurts Malia because I feel empty, I feel like my life's on a standstill. I feel alone." He interrupted me and looked at me with pure sadness in his eyes.

I saw a single tear fall down his face and he quickly wiped it away.

I put my hand on his "You're not alone Aidan. Because you have me."
He looked up at me and smiled "You'll leave one day too."

I scoffed "No I won't. I never leave anyone okay? I'm the one who gets left behind."
(A/N— The Girl Left Behind reference😂)

He said "So am I."
"Then we be there for each other." I told him and he nodded.

I rested my head on his shoulder and we both looked at the view.
The sun started to set. The sky turned to a pink colour and everything seemed so calm.

THE NEXT DAY—

My alarm woke me up but I quickly hit it to snooze and I turned over on the other side of my bed.
I laid on my stomach and I felt so cozy in my blanket.

My eyes quickly widened and I shot out of bed.
"It's prom today!" I said to myself and Allison came into my bedroom.
"Damn! Girls are so dramatic!" My brother Zack came into my room and he rolled his eyes at me and stormed out right after.

I took my hair out of a messy bun and I sat down at my dressing table and started to comb the tangles out of my long hair.

My face scrunched a little and after a few minutes, my hair was finally un tangled. I turned on the straightening iron, waiting for it to heat and then started straightening my hair.
