The whole family were sitting at the dinner table and the dining room was filled with laughter. All happiness and I looked across the table to see my mom and Dad. They loved Aidan's sense of humour.

Uncle Grayson laughed so hard that spaghetti almost shot out of his nose. And my brother Zack? He didn't understand half of the things we were saying but he just laughed along.

"Wait you thought your History teacher was flirting with you because she drew a heart on your test paper but it really was a zero for your score?" My Dad chuckled.
Aidan nodded "Yeah I was flattered and then heartbroken at the end."

"Ethan that sounds like something you'd do." My mom nudged my Dads arm.
My Dad smiled "You know what Aidan? You do remind me of my self a lot when I was your age."

"Yeah But Ethan was annoying and didn't know the difference between a joke and disrespecting someone. Isn't that right Mrs Distraction?" Grayson interrupted and he looked at my mom and laughed.
Mom choked on her water a little after she heard what he said.

She put her glass down and glared at Uncle Grayson.

Dad tried to change the subject.
"So what do you wanna do when you're older?" Dad asked Aidan.

Aidan thought about it for a second and then shrugged "I don't know yet but I really wanna become a social worker."
Uncle Grayson interrupted "Ha social worker Marie!"

My mom dropped her fork on the plate and it made a noise.
"Ugh! Don't get me started on her, I'm glad she's out of my life now."

I laughed a little and then I looked back at Aidan.
"Why do you wanna he a social worker?" I questioned him.

"There's just a lot of people that have it bad in life and I know what it's like to go through all that. I just wanna help others."

His answer had such meaning to it. It was almost as if he planned what he was gonna say. Aidan always said he wanted to help others but the only person he didn't wanna help was himself.

Dinner was over and I walked Aidan out of the house. We stopped on the porch and I shut the front door quietly.
It was nighttime and the atmosphere was so peaceful and quiet.

"My parents really seem to like you." I told him and he gave me a soft smile.
"They're cool. I like them too." He said.

"Thanks for having me over for dinner."
I smiled "No problem, you're welcome any time."

Aidan was about to walk to his car but I stopped him.
"If you want, we can hang out tomorrow after school?"

He didn't turn around to face me but I knew he was smiling.
"Sure." Was all the said. I watched Aidan go to his car and drive off.

Just as I was about to walk into the house.
I heard someone call my name.

I quickly turned around from surprise and I saw someone in the distance.

"You're doing good baby Mal." They said and their voice echoed so I could hear it properly.
It was my Uncle Zack.
Oh my gosh.....

He waved at me and I waved back.
The front door opened and I turned to the door and then back to Uncle Zack, he wasn't there anymore.

"Zack? Zack?" I called out his name. There was an answer but from the wrong Zack.
"Yeah?" My little brother Zack answered and I looked at him.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned him, trying to change the subject.
"That Aidan guy is so cool, I like him." He said and I smiled.

Me too.
I put my hand on his shoulder and walked with him back in the house. I looked over my shoulder one last time to see if there was anything really there. There wasn't. My uncle Zack wasn't there.

Mom was washing the dishes in the kitchen and I went to go and help her out.

"Mama can I ask you something?" I said as I grabbed a tea towel and started drying the dishes.
"Sure what's up?"

It took me a moment to say this because part of me was nervous but the other part didn't wanna look like a psycho.

"I know this might be me being crazy but....I'm starting to see Uncle Zack." I said and she immediately stopped what she was doing.

I was expecting her to get all angry at me but she didn't.
She turned her head and looked at me for a second.

"You're not crazy." She smiled.
"I'm not?"

She shook her head "I used to see him as well. When he first died, I started seeing him in my dreams and he would show up whenever I was in trouble. It's a way of him saying that he's always looking out for me even if he's not here anymore and now I think he's doing the same for you too."
"So I'm not going paranormally insane?"

Mom chuckled.
"No you're not going insane."

She continued to wash the dishes and my Dad came in the kitchen. He started helping her out with the dishes and I just walked out.
