Review:
In which we learn that stereotypes exist no matter where you go or who you are. But they don't define us. In which we learn the true power of friendship, and to never let go of something you have for something you cannot see. Because the people who were there before it all will not abandon you. In which we learn the cruelty of children, and their ability to fool themselves. It is beyond anyone's comprehension.
Nova is a serious romantic, and while I can't claim to relate to that (I often find myself looking away instead of crying during emotional scenes), I genuinely liked Nova. Perhaps she was a little naive, perhaps she needed what happened to her, but she was still a child, someone with a lot more room to grow. Her story is based around a high school, but it looks at teenagers in general.
A light-hearted read, but you might cry when Nova does. 😉🙃
