It was a common misconception that pureblooded children such as the Malfoys were bred from a family that was based solely on hatred. However, that was the farthest from the truth as the eldest of the Malfoy family, Saros, had grown up in a household surrounded by the warmth and love of his parents. He grew up spoiled, holding a sense of entitlement since the time he was young because his parents told him and his little brother, Draco, that they deserved the world. His parents had given Saros no reason not to believe and trust in their word, they gave him no reason for him not to love them, which made the internal battle turn into an all-out war when it came to choosing what side was right and which one was wrong.
Saros learns that good and evil is not so black and white when living in a grey world. He will do anything to protect his family, even if it means making the wrong decisions in their eyes. Normally, Angelina Johnson wouldn't even bother with the likes of Saros Malfoy, after all, she has her own life to tend to and she knows the type of person that he is. Spoiled and entitled don't interest the girl, however, there is a moment, where she is a witness to something beyond the typical Malfoy air, a time where Saros shows that he is human and maybe Angelina's got it all wrong about the boy.
Review:
Who doesn't love Angelina Johnson? Fiery and beautiful, she is the captain that bridges Oliver Wood, who went on to play for Puddlemere United, and Harry Potter, who went on to save the Wizarding World as we know it. And Angelina? She married George Weasley, despite originally being in a relationship with Fred, and had two kids, naming her son after her ex-boyfriend. J. K. Rowling, Your Majesty, I love you, but this seems a little... off.
So, let's discuss this exquisite piece of fanfiction, then, provide a little alternative for our favourite Chaser. It's quite hard to find a story that complements Angelina's real character, and I can say, with great satisfaction, that this book does indeed do so. Angelina is Angelina; and then we have Saros Malfoy. What can I say? Saros is a Malfoy, the best we see of Draco in the real series. Without spoilers, all I can say is, prepare to have your mind blown.
By the way, there's a sequel: Blood Traitor. Actually, anything by this author is brilliant and worth reading, so after you're done, go check out the profile! You'll find something to suit Harry Potter fan, from James Potter to Rabastan Lestrange, including crossovers!
Bonus: It's completed.
