"You're not going to come?" Chris asks.
"Why the hell would I?"
"For-"
"I'm not going anywhere for her, she wished she never met me. I'll make it like she doesn't exist to me." I coldly said.
"But, Lauren she's sick." Chris sighed.
"Well." I took a deep breath and ran a hand through my hair. "She'll be fine."
"It's stage 3 cancer!" He yelled. "You think she's going to be fine!?'
"It's not my problem." I placed my hand on the door knob. "She's not my problem. " I said opening the door. "Not anymore. " I whispered as I walked out, shutting the door behind me.
She's not. But, I know she is.
-
"No Dinah." I firmly said.
"But-"
"I don't care. If Lauren is going to be there I'm not going. I don't care."
"Come on Mila!" She said nudging me. "Pleaaase." She begged.
"What do you want from me Dinah." I said raising my voice a little.
"Too make things right with her."
I rolled my eyes and laughed a little. "Why am I fixing things? It's always been Camila do this. Camila do that. She did this. She caused all of this."
Dinah sat there for a few minutes quietly. "I'm going to say this ONE time Mila, you two love each other. You BOTH were wrong, mainly Lauren but, you too. It takes two. Two wrongs don't make a right. So get your head out of your big cuban ass and go fucking apologize."
"But-"
"Don't even." She growled.
"But Dinah-"
"Let's go." She said pulling me off of the couch.
-
As we sat there on the bed of Chris' truck, I swung my feet over the sides. I don't know why Dinah would want a party in the woods. It reminds of that night with Camila.
"How is she late to her own party?" I asked hopping off of the truck bed onto the ground. The sound of crunching leaves made me cringe like when my phone vibrates.
"You know Dinah." Ally said wrapping her arms around Chris.
She had a point. Dinah was always late. She'd probably be late to her own funeral if she wasn't dead.
"We're here!" A loud voice yelled.
"With food!"
Dinah and Normani. I rolled my eyes at the two. No wonder why they're together.
"Shit." Someone mumbled as I reached into the cooler for a beer. I opened the can, bringing it to my lips. As I brought the can down I knew.
"What is she doing here?" I ask looking at Camila standing ten feet away from all of us neck to a pine tree.
"I invited her." Dinah shrugged putting a cigarette into her mouth.
"You have cancer should you really be smoking?"
"Is that what Chris told you?" Dinah laughed.
"Whatever. " I hissed. "I'm outta here."
"No. You stay, I'll go." Camila insisted heading back towards the car.
"No. We'll go." Chris said. Right on cue they all got into their vehicles, leaving Camila and I along in the woods.
"Happy now?" She snapped.
"Just peachy." I mumbled.
