Kaede's Secret

I laid on my bed thinking about Kokichi and our 'date' if you can call it that. I was awake all night because of that and I was stupid to stay up, because I had school the next morning. All that happened at school was I slept through my classes and got detention....Great..... I was really worried how my uncle will react when he finds out I got detention. I was so worried that I asked Kaede if I could stay over at her house and she said that I could stay over after I got out of detention. I waited and waited and......waited.

"Shuichi you are dismissed." The teacher stated.

"O-oh okay, t-th-thank y-you." I said back at them. As I was leaving the classroom I noticed Kaede has been waiting for me to get out of detention.

"Hey Kaede are you ready to go?" I asked.

"Yeah! Let's go!" She grabbed my hand and started running to her house. I don't know why she is in a hurry it's not like she's cooking something, but I stayed quite and let her drag me to her house. A couple minutes passed by and we made it.

"Hey Shuichi do you know where the guest bedroom is?"

"Yeah, I think I do."

"Okay well settle in and I'll be in the kitchen making dinner. Ok?" She said as she was making her way to the kitchen. I just nodded in agreement and went to the guest bedroom.

I was walking around trying to find the guest bedroom. When I was looking for the room I stumbled across Kaede's room. At first I didn't know it was Kaede's room, so I went in. I saw a lot of music notes everywhere which is like the guest room, but I noticed something peculiar in the room, it was Kaede's diary. I didn't read her diary because it would be very rude of me to read a diary of someone who is letting me stay at their house, its just isn't like me. I left the room and started to look for the guest bedroom, and I found it near Kaede's room. I went in the guest room and flopped on the bed. I didn't realize until a couple minutes I was still holding Kaede's diary. I didn't know what to do and curiosity got the best fo me and so I started reading her diary. (Well not her whole diary I just read random pages) As I was reading I noticed that-

"Shuichi! Dinner is ready!" Kaede yelled.

"I'm coming down in a second." I rushed to her room to put back her dairy and walked downstairs. As I made my way down I noticed Kaede setting up the table, so I decided to help. When we were done setting the table up I decided to tell Kaede I read her dairy, I know she would find out sooner or later, but I felt comfortable telling her.

"Hey, Kaede?"

"Hmm? What is it Shuichi?" She asked

"Slap me gently..." I said

"Why?" She demanded.

"Just do it" I told her.

"Oh ok." She slapped me gently on the side of my face.

"I r-re-read y-your diary...." I said.

"W-WH-WHAT!" She said startled. As she was ready to slap me I told her she already had her revenge.

"Okay... what did you find out.." Kaede asked as she was passing out the food.

"Well.... I found out that you used to have a crush on Kokichi."

"T-th-that's was w-when I-I didn't k-know better." She started to heat up.

"I also found out that you slept with a teddy bear named 'Music Note' when you were ten."

"It was my grandma's present to me and Music Note was my one of the things that reminded me of her..." Kaede started to tear up when she mentioned her grandmother.

"Is that all you found out?" She asked tears still in her eyes.

"Y-Yeah." I responded, but that was a lie. I didn't want to make things worse than it already is, so I kept it to my self. I been lying even more when I started to hangout with Kokichi. I think he is a bad influence on me, I think no, he IS! I might have to talk to Kokichi about this later, but right now I have to stay and comfort Kaede.
