Chapter 14

Jason's pov

As Aspen explained to us how Derek is coming on to him Chandler kept staring at Justin.

"Alright you two what is up with you?" I ask Chandler and Justin

"Justin has been giving me the silent treatment all day and I don't know why" chandler tells me

"Why?" I ask Justin

"What's that now?" He asks me

"Why have you been giving Chandler the silent treatment?" I ask him again

"Cause he ditched me to hang with Marie when we planned to go to the prom together and Chandler I love you, but I think we're better off as being Friends" Justin tells him and leaves

I didn't know what to say and Chandler just looked at me.

"Look Chandler I would love to help and everything, but this one is all on Jay and you" I tell him as Aspen tells me that the movie is about to start.

We all either got back in the cars or sat on the hood. As we started to watch the movie I didn't see Justin come back.

"Hey Derek did you see Justin come back?" I ask him

"No why?" He asks me

"Cause the movie's already started and he's not back" I say

"Chandler come help me find Justin" I say as we leave the lot.

"So what's this all about Justin just wanting to be friends?" I ask him as we walk around looking for Justin

"I really wanted to go to the prom with Jay, but Marie told me her parents were gonna be out of town on Saturday-" I cut him off

"Woah woah wait a minute you blew off my little brother for a hook up? Chandler Justin was so excited about going with you to the prom last week" I tell him as I hear quiet sobs.

I kept walking and kept looking when I found Justin with his knees pulled up to his chest. I knelt down and pulled his hands away from his face. My phone buzzed and I looked to see that Amy is calling. I pressed decline and looked back at Justin.

"Jay what is going on with you?" I ask him

"I-I don't know I really don't. This year sucks! For once I just want a real friend and possibly a boyfriend who won't abandon me. Jason I just wish things could be the way they used to be" he tells me

Back At The Lot

Derek's pov

As Aspen and I watched the movie I got that feeling in the pit of my stomach again and I don't know why. I looked over at Aspen to see that he's focused on the movie.

I honestly didn't know what to say to him now. So I just decided to watch the movie with him.

"Hey Derek can you come with me for a second?" I looked out my window to see Jason with Chandler.

"Yeah sure, Aspen I'll be right back" I say as I get out of the car.

"So what's wrong with Jay?" I ask him.

"Just let him tell you when we get to him" he tells me as we leave the lot.

As we walked my stomach was telling me that something's not right. When we reached Justin he was playing with a piece of glass and he was crying and giggling at the same time.

I knelt down next to him and I wanted to cry

"Jay look at me" I say as he stopped what he was doing to look up at me.
