swirling the rabbit stew around, her e/c eyes just looked into the dark substance. she was hungry, of course she was, but for some reason she just isn't in the mood to eat. there was a pit feeling in her gut, and she hates whenever that happens. "how about we play a game?" oliver suggested. causing y/n to look up. oli was notorious for his stupid little card games. "we can play truth or dare." he suggested, holding up his stack of cards.
julius shook his head, a chuckle leaving the older man's lips. "you guys do that, i'm gonna be in my room listening to jazz. anyone is welcomed if they want to join." he said before he got up, holding onto his bowl as he did so. "i'll try to get jaeden here though." he added shortly after, though he was looking at y/n instead of the whole group. he knew y/n and jaeden we're getting closer and closer by the day.
"thanks." chosen said, smiling at the taller guy, which jule returned. trenton got up from the picnic table as well. "i should be heading to bed anyways, we have a big day tomorrow." he said with his index finger pointing at his brother. oliver and trenton have an important run to do at a neighboring sanctuary.
and with that the two older guys walked away together, laughter leaving their lips from unknown whispers between them.
jaeden has started walking, though it was only in his room. but it was progress. and either way, y/n was proud.
shuffling the stack of cards, finn raised a brow at the kid. "i don't think cards are required for truth or dare." he stated with his chocolate brown eyes looking down at the cards in oliver's hand. y/n looked over at finn, and just saw gianna softly slapping his shoulder. he obviously doesn't know oliver well enough yet.
"well, finn, this game does." oliver said looking over at the raven haired boy. "the person with the highest cards gets to ask the loser truth or dare." he stated. "simple knowledge if you ask me." he added shortly after. causing the h/c haired girl to chuckle at her best friend.
after he was completely done with shuffling the cards, he placed them in the middle of the picnic table. "should we wait for jaeden?" chosen questioned with a raised brow. "he might not be the best walker right now but i sure he'll be here." he continued on.
tapping his chin, oliver ultimately agreed. so the seven teens waited for the last member. and chosen was right, y/n saw jaeden limping over to them with julius by his side. a few days before, julius was hanging out in his sister's room and expressed how he thought jaeden was a pretty cool fella. a bit quiet, but cool.
jaeden smiled at y/n, causing the girl to look down at the table. her lips curving into a small smile. a few moments later though, he was now seated in the space between oliver and y/n. the girl looked over at him. "so i heard we're playing truth or dare." he said with a goofy grin. ever since jaeden can finally walk (if that's what you want to call it) he's been in such a good mood. he was glad that he wasn't glued to his bed anymore, and he can actually explore. however, gianna did suggest not walking for too long just yet.
"yes! we are, now pick a card." oliver said, holding the stack of cards in front of him. after jaeden picked his card, it was y/n's turn and so on. y/n luckily didn't have the lowest card, but jaeden had the highest card. looking around at the teens around him, he looked for the one who had the lowest number. which was his good friend finn. "so finn, truth or dare?" he asked. finn looked up at the sky, thinking for a short moment before deciding on picking dare. "i dare you to drink a little bit of water from that water fountain." jaeden spoke causing his friend to go wide eye.
