the teens have been on the road for twenty minutes or so, twisting and turning out of the woods and into civilization, or lack thereof. the road leading into a small town was messy; papers and trash alike was laying on the floor and drifting through the wind. it was a total ghost town, it reminded y/n of her seven-eleven runs with oliver...

the girl's eyes tore away from the window and onto her scruffy hands. small cuts were visible but nothing too major. "look! there are houses!"
russo shouted, leaning forward a bit, his face now was right beside chosen's. a goofy bright grin plastered on his lips; his dark blue eyes lighting up to the sight of the middle-class neighborhood.

the van came to a slow stop, the small black car from behind followed suit. chosen was the first to get out of the car to suggest to julius about staying there for the night. jaeden took this as a sign to exit the van as well, his hand was out and a smile formed on his chapped lips. "shall we pick one of the houses?" he asked with an off british accent.

"okay first of all, never do that again. that was god awful," she paused, a wonderful sound called laughter escaping her lips as she gingerly placed her hand in his. he gently pulled her out of her seat and out of the van.

the sight of a gianna standing close to julius as they talk to chosen came into view. though, y/n couldn't be bothered with joining the conversation.

with their hands still interlocked, the girl started dragging the brunette onto the sidewalk. "i never really thought i'd see a whole neighborhood again." she stated. despite the houses being empty, the grass is completely overgrown, and the stench of the dead reeking, she found joy from walking down a row of houses again.

"i forgot you lived in the school for half your life." he responded, shaking his head. "i-i wouldn't be able to handle it. did you guys ever have breaks?" he questioned, he wanted to ask her about her life for a while but he just never had the chance to until now.

"sadly no. it wasn't like a normal school since our parents sent us there, we were kind of forced to stay there until our parents decided to pick us up again," she answered truthfully, shrugging her shoulders in the process.

the two were little away from the groups. with the distance between them, jaeden came to a halt. his other hand taking ahold of her's, his blue eyes looking down at her. "if we end up sleeping in one of the houses, can we share a room?" he asked nervously. the girl swore she felt the cute boy's hand trembling and growing sweaty as he asked. she found it adorable that he was so nervous.

a smile broke out on her chapped lips, "aw, i'd love that." she answered.

his lips started curving into a small smile, though he tried to contain his obvious excitement and joy. "yes!" he exclaimed, holding his fist up like in the breakfast club, however, he quickly brought back down to his side. his hands awkwardly sliding into his pockets as his cheeks flush a red color. "i mean cool, great. uh, should we get to the others? it looks like they're watching us."

her face was inching closer to his and for a second he thought the girl was going in for a kiss, however, she quickly moved her head and began to whisper. "probably watching you act like a total idiot," y/n teased, her hand cupping over her mouth to muffle her snickers.

"har har har," he sarcastically spoke, his blue eyes rolled while his cheeks grew warmer. he was definitely going to hear shit from finn and chosen after this, he just knew it. his gaze lingered as the girl walked away from him, her hips naturally swaying.
