Be Comforting

"You okay Jimin?" Taehyung peers down at Jimin's face. Jimin wakes up to see Taehyung peering closely at his face so he jumps, knocking his head against Taehyung's.

"Ow! Jimin that hurt!" Taehyung rubs his red forehead.

"S-sorry." Jimin apologizes rubbing his own head.

"We can eat the cake now!" Jungkook jumps up with excitement after seeing Jimin awake.

Jimin cried himself to sleep. Jungkook carried Jimin to his couch and the boys sat patiently while watching Jimin sleep.

"Are you okay, now?" Jin asks worriedly.

"I-I'm fine." Jimin sniffles a little.

"Here Jimin." Namjoon rests the cake on the small wooden table in the living room. The cake has two lit candles, the numbers 1 and 7.

"Make a wish." Hoseok smiles.

Jimin stares at the six men staring at him: Jungkook and Taehyung have their arms around each other's shoulders with a large smile on their faces. Hoseok and Yoongi stare at Jimin with a loving gaze. Namjoon and Jin look at Jimin worried as he scans the six boys.

Smiling, Jimin makes a wish and blows out the candles.

"Yay!" They all cheer and clap.

"What'd you wish for?" Jungkook pried.

"Mind your business." Jin smacks Jungkook's head.

"I'll cut the cake." Namjoon offers.

The other five boys yell 'No!' in protest to Namjoon's offer. Jimin is left confused.

Jin cuts the cake he made into 7 equal slices. Everybody enjoys the cake, including Jimin.

"How is it?" Jin asks Jimin.

"It's good." Jimin nods his head, some frosting on his cheek.

Yoongi stretches over and wipes the frosting off of his cheek. He licks the sweet frosting from his thumb. Jimin blushes profusely from the action.

"This is your room, Jimin?" Taehyung yells from the back of the apartment.

Jimin shoots up and runs to his room. Taehyung is on his bed hugging a pillow and Jungkook looks at pictures on Jimin's dresser.

"You're so cute." Jungkook holds up a baby picture of Jimin. Jimin's grandfather took that picture when he was three years old.

"This place is so small." Hoseok scans Jimin's apartment carefully.

"There's no food in your fridge!" Jin exclaims from the kitchen.

"This couch is too stiff." Yoongi complains.

"This is all the clothes you have?" Namjoon shakes his head as he skims through Jimin's bare closet.

Jimin is overwhelmed by the barrage of insults about his living conditions.

"Can you guys stop!" Jimin yells as the boys continue to nitpick about faults in his apartment.

"Did we hurt your feelings? Sorry." Jin apologizes first.

"You should come live with us." Jungkook blurts out.

Jimin freezes. The other five boys hoot in agreement.

"That'd be perfect!" Namjoon shouts.

"I could cook for you everyday." Jin smiles.

"You don't have to pay rent." Yoongi offers.

"We can clean for you." Jungkook suggests.

The thought slightly excites Jimin. He is struggling to keep this apartment and his paycheck isn't a stable one.

But, living with the six other boys frightens him. He doesn't know if they'll do something to him or if they're going to trap him in the house forever. He's scared.

"We won't touch you. I swear." Taehyung raises his hands up in defense. The others reciprocate.

The other boys wait for Jimin's answer. They hope he says yes. They want to become closer with Jimin and get to know him. The thought of helping Jimin with his struggles was a thriving objective for the boys.

"Um..." Jimin thinks. He thinks real hard. He could accept the idea or not.

"I'm sorry! I can't!" Jimin shakes his head. His fear getting the better of him.

Six shoulders slump and big frowns land on their faces.

"It's okay." Namjoon reassures Jimin.

"Can you please leave? I want some time alone."

The six boys pile out of Jimin's apartment giving the small boy one last smile before they walk to Yoongi's car.

"Dammit! We almost had it!" Namjoon kicks the wheel of the car and the tire goes flat.

"Oh come on!" Yoongi yells in frustration.

All of them end up bickering in the parking lot as Jimin sits in his room and rocks himself in his corner.
