Before It Takes Us

"Fuck!" Richie shouted. "Fuck fuck fuck he's leaking hamburger helper again!" His hands were bloody and were pressed against Ben's stomach.
Eddie was shaking. "Where the hell did It come from?!"
"Back... lot... of... the... comic... store..." he forced out.
Eddie turned around with fear. There was no sight of anyone around. "Shit." Richie cursed loudly. "Eds, what are we gonna do?!"
"Where's Bev when we need her?!" Eddie choked on his breath and hiccuped.
     Richie pulled off his shirt and pressed it against Ben's stomach. Eddie was mesmerized for a second at his abs. He had seen them before... but it was always so beautiful. He looked away and unzipped his fanny pack to reveal bandages and gauze. He tossed them to Richie and he quickly opened them and wrapped his stomach.
     "What stopped It?" Eddie dared to ask.
     Ben looked up at him in pain. "I don't know."
     Richie wiped a bead of sweat off his forehead and Ben's blood left a streak. "Did any adults appear?"
     "Worker..." He squeaked.
     Eddie turned around and saw a tall girl staring at them. She had on a red shirt with her name, Sam, on the tag. She was wearing shorts and had her long brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. "Sir..." she whispered. "Are... are you okay? Were you attacked?"
      Richie stood up and wiped blood on his shorts. "It's none of your concern."
     "It's okay, she's just trying to help." Eddie said as he stepped closer to him.
     Richie looked down at him and couldn't resist smiling at his cute puppy face. Sam watched them and glanced at Ben. "Just hold the bandages uh..." Richie squinted at her tag and moved his glasses. "Sam."
     She went down on her knees and pressed her hands against his stomach. Richie gripped Eddie's hand. Eddie squeezed it tight and closed his eyes. He just wished that It would leave them alone. They never did anything to It. They might even be dragging Sam into the situation. A new victim for It to torture.
