eight ~ i know what i want

Christmas was fast approaching and it was cold and I had an even bigger urge to stay inside nowadays. I hated going outside, it didn't appeal to me, but I'm made to. It had seemed that as days passed, Calum and I hung out more. Not in public, but we hung out more at each other's houses. He seemed so into us hanging out and honestly, I did like being with him. But what has happened in our two different worlds is always floating in my brain. Sending pictures to some perv was not what I wanted in life. 

"It's so cold outside. How are people going out?" I asked, looking out of my window. 

Calum and I were currently in my room. He was watching some weird show and I was reading, or at least, he thinks I'm reading. There are so many things running through my mind.

"Well, this is England. It's gonna be cold, idiot." Calum laughed.

"What were the Australian winters like?" I asked, walking over to Calum.

"It was alright I guess. Except our winter was in different months. I don't think a girl like you could handle Australia." He smirked.

"Oh really?" I laughed, rolling on the bed next to him.

"Really." He nodded, pulling me into his side.

I laughed, pulling away. We hadn't kissed since that time in the toilet and we hopefully weren't going to kiss again. I didn't want to get feelings for Calum, I didn't want to get feelings for anyone. Calum must have felt different because all he seemed to want to do, was cuddle or be close.

"Do you think it's gonna snow?" Calum asked, rubbing my back as I watched the TV.

"Not really. It doesn't snow in England." I mumbled "Wish it would though. It would stop my family from coming on Christmas and making me get out of bed." 

Calum and I both laughed. Christmas was my favourite time of year and yeah, it felt good to be able to buy a present for an actual friend but I was still upset. I didn't want to show my emotions. I'm pretty sure that both my mum and Calum thought I was getting better but things were only getting worse. Jordie always seemed suspicious of me, her clique loved being rude to me or hurting me. I was just scared of them finding out about Calum.

"Do you think we can hang out on Christmas?" Calum questioned, sitting up and getting closer to me.

"If you want I guess." 

He nodded, getting up and walking around the room. I hadn't started the photography homework yet, I couldn't be bothered. Hanging out with a friend is a lot of work.

"So, what was this weeks photography project?" Calum asked.

"Oh, I had to take a picture of you and draw your personality and thing's that you want on a piece of paper." I yawned.

"I know what I want." Calum whispered, sitting down.

"What?"

"You." He smirked "Kissing me under the mistletoe."

I rolled my eyes, "You're such a boy."

"Great photo's so far Alexa. I'm very impressed." My teacher smiled, showing me another A* grade. 

"Thanks." I mumbled, handing in the picture of Calum with his personality.

It had taken a while for me to 'draw' his personality. Because I no longer knew it. He was a totally changed person. He was nicer now, sweeter and he made me feel loved. But that's not how he is. That's not his actual personality.

I cuddled into my pillows as my alarm went off. Another Saturday morning, another two weeks until Christmas. I needed to find out what Calum liked so I could buy him a gift. I feel like anything band-y he would like or a Liverpool FC merchandise thing but I don't know the boy.

"Calum? Is that you?" I asked, as I rang his phone.

"Oh hey! Sorry..unghh...I'm a little...busy. I'll call you back." Calum spoke, half moaning down the phone. 

If what I thought just happened then Calum was possibly having sex. I had just caught Calum, having sex.

I sat there for a moment, laughing at myself and Calum. My phone rang as I tried to stop giggling, "H-hello."

"You just called at the worst time Alexa." Calum growled.

"I'm sorry that I called to find out what you wanted for Christmas but you were too busy drilling Jordie." 

"I wasn't drilling Jordie." He mumbled.

"Well then what were you doing?" I asked.

"I..um..I was..wan-"

"Okay nevermind, I know what you were doing, ew." 

"Oh and surprise me with the presents." He laughed, cutting off the phone.
