nineteen *last chapter* ~ i love you

17 Years Later

"Caroline, get back here!" I shouted.

"I'll be back soon mum!" She laughed, rushing out of the door.

I huffed, retreating a little. A pair of hands touched my shoulder and Calums face smiled down at me.

"She said she was going out with Jacob." I huffed.

Calum laughed, sipping on some tea and sitting down so he was my height, "She's gonna want to go out a lot more now baby."

"I know but shes my little baby. I don't want her hanging out with boys." 

"How about we go and see a film or something?"

I shrugged, looking down at my hands. Calum rubbed my leg with one hand, sipping tea on the other.

"Do you think she'll move out soon?" I mumbled.

"Honey, she's 14." Calum chuckled.

"So? What if she becomes some rebel child or something?"

"I think we brought her up to be better than that, don't you?"

I nodded slightly, "I guess so."

A muffle came from the baby monitor and a cry soon came afterwards causing Calum and I to sigh in sync. He smiled at me, putting his cup down and starting to get up.

"No it's okay Cal, I'll get him." I smiled.

He nodded, sitting back down and taking his cup back. 

I pushed myself through the halls in my wheelchair, entering Louis' room and picking him up delicatley out of his cot. He smiled up at me, calming down in my arms. Calum soon came afterwards holding a bottle of milk and grinning down at the baby.

"I remember when Caroline was like that." I spoke, feeding our baby boy.

"Yeah, 13 years ago." Calum smiled, rubbing Louis' cheek.

I smirked, looking up at Calum, "We figured out how to have sex."

He laughed, nodding, "Yeah, we'd get the hang of it."

I put Louis back down, wheeling away from the cot and into the corner.

"Hey Cal?" I mumbled.

"Mmmhm?"

"I know I'm not perfect and I know you get annoyed with me sometimes but I just want you to know that if you ever wanna leave, I'll understand. It's just, I love you and you-"

Calum rushed over, kneeling by my side, "I'm never going to leave you."

"Are you sure?" 

"I'm oh so very sure." Calum smiled.

"I love you."

"I love you."
