seventeen ~ im sorry baby

Mum walked into my room, tears streaming down her face. I immediatly tried to scramble up, what was wrong? In her hand their was a brown envelope, and it made me nervous.

She walked over, looking at me sympathetically. She handed me the envelope, hiding her face, "I'm sorry baby."

I lifted my eyebrow, opening the opened envelope and looking at the letter.

Blah blah blah....blah blah bl-

We are sorry to inform you that your acceptance to RSA has been revoked. 

"Mum, what is this?" I asked, my voice shaky.

"They called this morning...the nudes..the school.." Mum stuttered, hiding behind her hands.

"So, I've lost the use of my spine and my college?" I cried.

She looked up from her hands, crying just like me. She held my hand and I held hers back. Could my life get any worse? Probably not. I've reached rock bottom. I don't even have Calum anymore. I'm such a fucking idiot. I hate myself. I hate my life. Everyone was right about Art Girl, she deserves to be dead.

Calum stumbled through the door, staring at me with bloodshot eyes. Tears ran down his cheeks and his body trembled.

"Calum, what's wrong?" I stuttered, pushing my body up.

"I love you and...and...you hate me. And I'm sorry and I love you. And I've ruined everything. I fucked up so badly. I love you. I...love you." He spoke, rushing to me.

I shook my head smiling a little, he was putting a smile on my face.

"I haven't slept all night, I didn't even go home. I just wandered around searching for...for.."

"For what?"

He looked at me, playing around in his pockets and he dropped to his knees. 

"For a ring." He stuttered.

"Calum...what the hell?!" I screeched.

"It's not a wedding ring if that's what you think." He said.

I let out a sigh of relief, dropping a little back into the bed. Mum stared at us, her hands on her mouth.

"It's a promise ring. I have one on already, but this is for you." 

He handed me the ring, looking at me eagerly. I looked from him to mum and down at the ring. I nodded, looking over at Calum, "I kinda need your help putting it on my hands."

"So, that's a yes? You forgive me and everything?" He said excitedly.

"Yes." I laughed, I missed him too much.

The ring looked pretty on my hand and it shimmered with the hospital lights. Mum grinned, holding my hand.

"Calum, RAS revoked my acceptance." I mumbled, "Because of the nudes."

"Oh yeah, I read the letter this morning in your letterbox." He said.

Mum and I looked at him, eyebrows raised.

"It's not as weird as it sounds." He laughed, "But yeah, I spoke to them and I told them everything that happened. You'll be getting a call soon I suppose."

I grinned at him, I wanted him to hug me. I wanted him to kiss me. I wanted to say sorry for what I did. It's funny how life works, one minute life is gray and the next someone has caused you to smile like there's no tomorrow. I fucking love you Calum Hood. I really fucking do.

"I love you Calum Hood." I smiled.

He held my face, kissing my lips softly and lying down next to me on the hospital bed. 

"I love you too."
