OMG, guys, I have GLASSES! They're rectangular and black, with a purple/pink thing, and they make me see the board at school! It is awesome! This chapter is dedicated to ... let me look for it ... one second ... to @TEEKOWOLF! Thanks you, TEEKOWOLF, and everyone else that has read this story! :D

Important question: did you know that the trees in front of my house have green and yellow leaves? I always thought they were of a yellowish green, because I couldn't see them properly, haha!

On with the chapter ...

Chapter 12 | explanations

Caitlyn woke up on a hospital bed some very long time later. She opened her eyes tiredly and confusion filled her mind. Then she understood she was possibly in the Hospital Wing. Only to notice afterwards that Harry was on the bed next to her, still asleep. She blinked and raised her head. She only didn't get up because she had a huge pain on her ribs. She saw, at the end of the bed, the enlightened face of Dumbledore.

"I see you're awake, Miss Montrose," he said in his deep voice.

She blinked. She wasn't dead! That was good. Caitlyn looked around and saw in a small table between her and Harry's beds a huge amount of candy.

"Tokens from your friends and admirers," explained Dumbledore. "What happened in the dungeons between you and Professor Quirrell is a complete secret, so, naturally, the whole school knows. I believe your friends Misters Fred and George Weasley were responsible fo trying to for trying to send you and Mr Potter a lavatory seat. No doubt they thought it would amuse you. Madam Pomfrey, however, felt it might not be very hygienic, and confiscated it."

"How long have I been in here?" Caitlyn asked in a sudden.

"Three days. Mrs Ronald Weasley, Miss Granger and Mr Malfoy will be most relieved you have come round, they have been extremely worry." Caitlyn used her hands to get support and sit up on the bed. "Don't use too much strength, Miss Montrose, you're recovering. Who knew a wall could break ribs just like that?" She gulped. "About the Stone, I'm sure you're interested." She nodded cheerfully. "Very well then.

"Hours later after you blacked out, Mr Potter, Miss Granger and Mr Ronald Weasley went looking for the Stone also, fearing it was too late. And when they got there, only Mr Potter could go to the room with the mirror, because the potion was only for one person. It refilled every time the room got empty though. He had a chat with Professor Quirrell and at the end, he got the Stone -- Harry, I mean -- and Voldemort showed up."

Caitlyn gasped.

"He was on the back of Quirrell's head. Voldemort told Professor Quirrell to kill Harry, but he coudn't. When he touched Harry with his hands, he got burnt. When Harry's mother gave her life for his, her love was craved in him, and Voldemort now can't touch him. That's how Harry survived three days ago and ten and a half years ago. The effort Harry made -- it almost killed him. And when I got there, I thought it was too late. And then I saw you were also there.

"After Miss Granger and Mr Weasley explained everything, the only thing I could think about was how very brave and foolish of you it was to go alone to stop Professor Quirrell." Caitlyn smiled shyly. "For the Stone, it was destroyed. I and my friend, Nicholas Flamel, decided it was for the best. And Quirrell died in between everything, because Voldemort left his body."

"He did?" she asked worriedly. Dumbledore nodded. "How did Harry get the Stone anyway, Professor? Because Quirrell --"

"Ah," he started. "That was a little invention of mine. You see, when he looked into the mirror and saw the Stone, it appeared in his pocket. In his real pocket. Harry only got the Stone because he wanted it for the common good, he didn't want to use it. As for Quirrell, he wanted to use it for Voldemort. But there are other ways for Voldemort to come back ..."
