OMG, guys! You are THE BEST!! I can't believe I already reached 100 votes! And the number of reads is just EXCITING! This chapter kind of sucks, and I feel bad, but there's one next. At least, CT will be 'talking' to her dad on this chappie, huh? HE WILL FOOL HER A LITTLE!! And I mean a lot, telling her she can be a muggle-lover or not, and that blood status isn't all that important ... Leave me comments, pls! I wanna know your opinions!

Chapter 14 | riddle's diary

Yes.

Caitlyn panicked. She was speaking with her own father, the one that abandoned her when she was one year and a half at Wool's Orphanage. On the one hand, she felt like closing the notebook and leaving it in the attic forever; but on the other hand, she had a chance to speak with the man that brought her to live, her own father. So, curious as she was, she picked up the quill.

"What happened to you?" she asked aloud as she wrote the words in her pretty little handwriting.

I was killed, but before I died, I hid part of my soul in this diary so I could never truly die; my memories are all here so I can live from them. Now I am locked up in this diary and I need help to get out. What else do you want to know?

"Is my mother Bellatrix Lestrange?" she questioned. The question faded away quickly.

Yes.

Secrets, secrets, so many secrets ...

"What was there between you and her?" she asked the diary curiously.

Bellatrix was married to Rudolphus Lestrange and they couldn't have children, since Rudolph had a muggle operation called 'vasectomy' after three miscarriages. I and Bella knew each other for many years and we had you, since she really wanted to be a mother. But then I died and she had to give you away, since the Aurors were after her and she knew that she could end up in Azkaban after the Dark Lord's fall.

"Can you tell me more about yourself?" she inquired in a sweeter tone.

Of course, Caitlyn. I was born in Wool's Orphanage in December 31st, 1926. I am a half-blood, although I always pretended I was a pure-blood. My mother was a witch -- she died giving birth --, and my father, a muggle, left her some months after discovering she was pregnant, according to Mrs Cole -- I don't know if you know her or not, but she was the orphanage matron. I lived there for eleven years until Professor Albus Dumbledore, in those days the Transfiguration professor, handed me my Hogwarts acceptance letter. I went to Hogwarts and seven years later, I graduated. What about you?

"I am twelve years old, as you might know. Half-blood, since you're one and Bellatrix is a pure-blood. I live in Wool's Orphanage for eleven years until Professor Severus Snape, the Potions teacher, came and gave me the Hogwarts letter. I went to Hogwarts and just finished my first year. During it, I tried to stop the DADA teacher and You-Know-Who from getting the Philosopher's Stone, but I couldn't so one of my friends Harry Potter (yes, the Harry Potter) did it. I also have more friends: Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Fred and George Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Spencer Tracis, Millicent Bulstrode, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle. During these summer vacations, Draco's parents adopted me. Why did I go to an orphanage instead of staying with Uncle Lucius and Aunt Narcissa?"

I made Bellatrix promise that, if anything happened to me and if she was imprisoned in Azkaban, you would be raised by muggles, so that nobody would know your name, especially yourself. I didn't want you to grow up knowing your mother was Death Eater and that your father was dead. We were only trying to protect you. The Malfoys adopted you, Caitlyn?
