Intro: What would we without our teachers? Have we thought of their importance? We owe almost everything to them, but let's take a moment to think what we are, before the eyes of a teacher....
I'm no any prodigy,
I'm none a genius known;
I was never the legend born,
Nor did any fortunes I ever bore.I existed even none looked upon,
A formless shadow behind,
Even accompanying in the darkest -
Where none else turn to cheer.You knew me since your first light,
Moment I sacrificed being myself -
I left me to embrace you,
The unique child I believed in.Out of that bedridden dorm
Following each footsteps you explore,
Searching for life as you grew,
I escorted that path all alone.Harsh struck revelations of present -
How hard it is even to survive,
Not any fairies cast a magical spell,
Neither those butterflies flew free;
Nor did ice-creams poured out of dreams,
A trapped world around us we see.
Gone away expectations before,
Left to choke here miserably.Falling each time, you cried -
Harder the next time, you still tried!
I was there - holding you up, unnoticed;
Never to let you shattered at the end.Broken or in grief were some days,
But this shadow even sheltered -
Rejoicing, awarding were the ways,
Slowly smiling from a corner!Yet there was light, there was hope -
That you felt from the behind,
I kept my word on guiding thee -
With each zeal the flames ingite.Bustling people in their own pursuits,
This world now is as filled with,
Faceless and anonymous beings,
Lost in the adrift herd;Yet behind you I forever remained.
People came and people went,
None ever looked back once,
All those desires they'd met -
Before them then, you became lost.Still we fought against all odds,
We fought for self and mere!
From an average out of herd;
To the leader they admire!This day you stand there high,
This path now drawns upon,
From first footsteps to leave -
A footprint in the world upon;
You came a long way here,
But never alone!
I was there, I am still here -
Till the eternal time falls!Once in the mirror you shall see,
Or once beneath, in your shadow,
Or once above, from my shade;
The way you had ever known me -
But for a moment, smile me back;
And make me remind my youth days,
I once was living as you're now.You maybe no any prodigy, nor any genius known;
You maybe never the legend born, nor any fortune you bore -
You are special, as I believed in you cause-
You were the reflection, through which I saw myself.
