You are sent up into the mountain, which is in fact shaped like a gigantic hourglass. Every 12 hours (a turn of the hourglass), a bunch of boulders fall down the side of the mountain, crushing everybody in their way.
At the absolute center of the mountain, there is the golden horn known as the cornucopia, where everything you could possibly want is found. It is also home of the biggest bloodbath in the Writer Games.
8 die, this round, kill as many as you want, and hope you're not in the 8. May the odds be ever in your favor.
