As Caden walks away from the stage Brielle shouts, "Next up, Lukkas Tittlei!"

The Careers hold in  their laughs when they hear my last them. I ignore them and walk up to  the stage in my buttoned black jacket and these neat black flare pants,  which I got surprised with since I'm a guy. When I sit in the chair,  taking off my conductor cap, Brielle asks, "So Lukkas, why do you think  you'll win?"

Well, that's kind of a  tough question. But this is for my sponsors. Probably. I smile and say,  "Some people back in Six don't expect me to survive, because I'm only  twelve. But I'm actually pretty fast, to be honest. I just pretend I'm a  train and my feet are the wheels. And that's how I got skinny."

The audience chuckles as Brielle asks, "Do you think your body will be a disadvantage?"

"Not really," I reply.  "I haven't actually fought before. I mean, there's thousands of people  in that bowl and I'm only a few of them. I'm used to watching trains and  helping my father. I really didn't expect to get picked. Anyway, here I  am, and I never really worked out for it. But it'll be fine. I've seen  past Games and I never really practiced the moves I saw, but I think  it'll be easy."

"How do you plan to get sponsors?"

"I don't know, to be  honest. But they just may be surprised by my strength. And me too. Like I  said, I never worked out since I never expected to be here, but I  remember having to push this rock out of the way of the train. And it  wasn't much trouble."

Brielle and I stand up and join hand, him holding mine up. "Lukkas Tittlei, District Six!"
