"MORNING IN PARIS, THE CITY AWAKES

TO THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME

THE FISHERMAN FISHES, THE BAKERMAN BAKES

TO THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME

TO THE BIG BELLS AS LOUD AS THE THUNDER

TO THE LITTLE BELLS SOFT AS A PSALM

AND SOME SAY THE SOUL OF THE CITY'S THE TOLL OF THE BELLS

THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME"

Anti sings in the morning sun as children gathered around his small cart. Sean enters in the back with goods for customers.

"Listen, they're beautiful, no?" Sean spoke. "So many colors of sound, so many changing moods. Because you know, they don't ring all by themselves."

"They don't?" Anti questions.

"No, you idiot," Sean bats him on the head. "Up there, high, high in the dark bell tower, lives the mysterious bell ringer. Who is this creature?"

"Who?" Anti questions.

"What is he?" Sean continues.

"What?" Anti emphasizes.

"How did she come to be there?"

"How!" Anti yelled.

"Shut it, moron!" Sean bats him again, the children laugh.

"Ouch, bastard..."

"And now, Jacksepticeye will tell you. It is a tale, a tale of a woman, and a monster..." His voice dissipates as the scene changes once he pulls back a curtain.

A band of hybrids quietly proceeded down the Seine, hoping to avoid detection

DARK WAS THE NIGHT WHEN OUR TALE WAS BEGUN ON THE DOCKS NEAR NOTRE DAME

A man covered with a cloak rowed the boat down the river, angry at the crying child. "Shut it up will you!"

Another man, slightly taller with a brown beard pulled down his hood, "We'll be spotted."

The female cradled the child tighter, "Hush little one."

FOUR FRIGHTENED GYPSIES SLID SILENTLY UNDER THE DOCKS NEAR NOTRE DAME

The man that rowed the boat pulled alongside the shore, "Four gilders for the safe passage into Paris." Suddenly an arrow flew straight into his ore.

BUT A TRAP HAD BEEN LAID FOR THE GYPSIES

AND THEY GAZED UP IN FEAR AND ALARM

AT A FIGURE WHOSE CLUTCHES

WERE IRON AS MUCH AS THE BELLS

"...Judge Mors..." The father breathed.

While surrounded by guards with spears a man rode in on a black horse.

THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME

JUDGE MORS LONGED TO PURGE THE WORLD OF VICE AND SIN

AND HE SAW CORRUPTION EVERYWHERE EXCEPT WITHIN.

He gazed down upon the hybrid family, disgusted. "Bring these hybrid vermin to the Palace of Cleansing."

One guard noticed the mother figure holding a bundle. "You there! What are you hiding!"

Mors scoffed, "Stolen good, no doubt. Take them from her."

"She ran.." Anti spoke.

The mother began to run, trying to escape with her hybrid child. Mors begins to chase them both on horseback. She reaches the doors of Notre Dame and begins to pound on the doors. "Sanctuary! Please give us Sanctuary!"

Notre Dame was common ground for humans and hybrids. No demons were allowed to interfere with holy buildings though they despised them. Mors finally caught up to her at the steps of the cathedral. He rips the baby from her arms and kicks her, sending her coaching to the cement steps. The blow to the head kills her. The baby begins to cry.

"A baby?" Mors questions, to his surprise.

He then noticed it was neither human nor demon, "A monster!"

Mors looked around looking for a way to dispose of the infant. He spotted a well and moves over to it holding the baby over the well. Suddenly lighting cracks down.

"Stop!" Cried the archdeacon. A demon who had seen his flaws and wished to help humans and hybrids.

"This is an abomination. I'm sending it to our lord satan where it belongs!"

"See there the innocent blood you have spilled on the steps of Notre Dame..." He points to the dead woman on the steps.

"I am guiltless, she ran, I pursued."

"Now you would add this child's blood to your guilt, your own kind, on the steps of Notre Dame."

"The child is not a demon!"

"You can lie to yourself and your minions. You can climb that you haven't a qualm, But you never can run from, nor hid what you've done. From the eyes, the very eyes of Notre Dame!"

Demons were not allowed to take the lives of other demons, this included hybrids because they were half demon. Nor were they allowed to enter the property of holiness and cause harm which he had done both.

AND FOR ONE TIME IN HIS LIFE OF POWER AND CONTROL

MORS FELT A TWINGE OF FEAR FOR HIS DEMONIC SOUL

"....What must I do.." Mors questioned.

"Care for the child, raise it as your own." The Archdeacon picked up the child's mother.

"What? I'm to be saddled with this abomination— " He paused. "Very well. Let her live with you, in your church."

"Live here? But where?"

"Anywhere, Just so he's kept locked away where no one else can see. The bell tower, perhaps. And who knows — our Lord works in mysterious ways. Even this foul creature may yet prove one day to be of use to me.."

"And Mors gave the child a cruel name. A name that means half-formed, Ibrida...
