Darkness is all that filled the area around (Y/n). (She/he) looked around for any form of light, but it wasn't there. (She/he) couldn't even see (her/his) hands. There was no noise either, dead silence. The thumping of (her/his) heart became louder as (she/he) panicked.
A natural instinct kicked in; run.
Why run though? (Y/n) figured they would have to hit something sometime. The ground under (her/his) feet was definitely solid, almost like concrete. So (she/he) ran, one foot after the other. The sound of their bare feet slapped off the ground, it broke up the unsettling silence making (her/him) concentrate.
(Y/n) began to reason with themselves to help keep calm.
"My name is (Y/First and last name). I'm (Y/Age) years old. I live in Los Angeles, California. I'm a graphic designer with my own personal company. I have one sister. My parents are together-"
(She/he) stopped running when the ground turned from its solid form, to a soft soil/sandy feel. The sound of (her/his) feet disappeared, and only their heavy breathing remained. This was going somewhere, (she/he) didn't know where but it was different.
Then, a spec of light appeared in front of (Y/n). (She/he) squinted (her/his) eyes to make sure their mind wasn't playing any tricks. It was real, and in front of (her/him).
Off (she/he) went, running again, but this time with a goal. The stagnant air turned into a soft cool breeze as (she/he) approached the dot. It seemed to be a light, a lantern, hung on a wooden pole.
(Y/n) closed in on it, slowing (her/his) walk. There was a goal, and (she/he) reached it. (She/he) reached for the handle of the light. The lantern looked like one someone would take on a standard camping trip, but lit with a flame, not a battery powered light.
(She/he) lowered it to the ground to see what they were standing in. There appeared to be sand under (her/his) feet and between their toes. Debris of dead plants scattered around along with ripples from wind.
With a light, (she/he) felt better about walking, so they did. The wind picked up a little, but not enough to worry them.
(Y/n) walked, but began to hear whispers. (She/he) shook (her/his) head trying to dismiss it as their mind messing with them, but they grew louder.
turn aroundgo away
we see you
they want you
Stay with us
ha ha ha ha/
run run run run run
why did you leave him?
The whispers grew louder and louder, over lapping one another till they were unrecognizable.
(She/he) stopped suddenly and turned in all directions. The voices sounded like they were right next to her, but nothing was there.
"STOP!" (Y/n) yelled at the top of (her/his) lungs.
The voices stopped and the wind as well. Everything went back to silence. (She/he) breathed deeply to catch their breath, waiting for something to talk back.
Nothing..
"Thank god.." (She/he) spoke relieved.
(Y/n) turned to walk only to see an unwanted familiar face..
Darkiplier.
His skin ash grey, iris; deep red, and a grey suit to top it all off. Not anything too different from his normal attire.
"You seem... lost.." His low, alluring voice purred, echoing in the darkness.
(Y/n) wasn't dumb, and knew he had something to do with this. "Y-You brought me here, didn't you?"
"Did I?"
(She/he) began to remember that nights events. Freeing Anti, the club, and finally going to sleep. "This- It's-It's a dream."
"It all makes sense.." (She/he) thought.
Dark gently lift up (her/his) chin to deepen his gaze into (her/his) eyes. "Do you not remember this place?"
(Y/n) glanced to (her/his) left, then to the right. (She/he) could only see what the lantern illuminated, which again, was sandy-dirtish material on the ground. Nothing was recognizable, not even a little.
Dark smirked, immediately knowing they didn't remember. "Hmm, and I believed you saw ALL of Mark's videos."
(Y/n) pushed Dark's hand away from (her/his) chin and backed away. "I've been running from you this whole time, and you still haven't told me why you're even bothering with me."
Dark positioned his hands behind his back. "Why end the fun? It's more ideal to watch you figure it out."
"What does Sean or Anti have to do with it?"
An annoyed look flashed across his face. "They're simply in the way, but don't worry. It won't last much longer."
"If you hurt them, Dark I'll-"
Dark suddenly appeared in front of (her/him). "You'll what?"
(Y/n) had to think of something to say. He wanted something to do with (her/him) but what? (She/he) threatened the only thing they could. "I'll kill myself."
A chuckle escaped his lips. "Kill yourself? Now (Y/n) don't be so dramatic."
"You want me. There something about me you want, but you can't get it if I'm dead."
Dark began to walk forward forcing (Y/n) to walk backwards. "And what would your friends do? What would you family do? You'd kill yourself, and then what? Who does that save beside you? No one."
Fear grew on (her/his) face.
"I have great plans in store for you, (Y/n)." His smile then became serious as he pronounced each word harshly. "Very. Big. Plans."
(Y/n) suddenly felt nothing under (her/his) feet. (She/he) fell of a ledge with their only view being Dark looking down from above.
(She/he) jolted awake in (her/his) bed taking deep breaths, still coming back into reality. (Y/n) sat up in (her/his) bed and looked around the room. (Her/his) clothing from last night was on the floor, and layered blankets filled their bed. A headache began to set in the longer (she/he) sat there. That last drink surely put (her/him) on (her/his) ass.
"Oh my gosh, Sean.." (Y/n) spoke allowed.
(She/he) rushed out of bed and into the apartment hoping he was there, safe, alive. A lump on the couch with a blanket strung over them gave relief to (her/him). Sean laid wrapped up in a blanket, and crunched together.
The mere fact that THE Jacksepticeye was sleeping in (her/his) house still blew (her/his) mind. Meeting on such.. random.. terms.. and it evolving into trust? A friend even?
(Y/n) walked over to Sean and nudged his shoulder. He let out a groan and pulled the blanket over his head.
"C'mon Sean, it's like- wait- what time is it?"
(Y/n) looked over to a clock on the wall. It was 1:15 in the afternoon.
"We came back really late." He yawned.
(She/he) turned their view back to Sean as he stretched his arms out. His fluffy green hair was everywhere and drool lightly stained his cheek.
"How do ye feel?" Sean rubbed his eyes.
"I have a head ache, but other than that, nothing else." (Y/n) sat on a chair near by as he sat up.
"Eh, you'll get used to it. I'm not much of a drinker meself but I know how it feels." He scratched his head. "Why are ye lookin at me weird?"
(She/he) began to giggle turning into a laugh. "THE Jacksepticeye is in my apartment."
"I'm literally just a green haired Irish bastard." He smiled.
"I don't even watch a lot of your videos."
"I realize that. Ye didn't recognize me when we met a few weeks ago."
"It's LA, A LOT of people dye their hair and work in youtube."
"Ye need to get out more." He waved his hand at (her/him) before standing up and stretching.
"That literally makes no sense, Sean." (Y/n) laughed. "How's Anti?"
Sean wrinkled his brow. "Did you just ask how a murderous demon was doing?"
"(She/he) did Jack-a-boy!" Anti giggled from the back of his mind.
"Okay so the murder thing isn't cool, but he saved me, and he knows he didn't have to."
Sean waited for a reply for his evil counterpart but not a word was spoken.
"Can he hear me? Like, when I talk to you?"
"He can hear and see everything when I'm in control, and vice versa. So yeah, he heard you."
"What did he say?"
"The sooner we leave the better.." Anti whispered.
"Uh, nothing actually.."
(Y/n) stood up and walked into the kitchen. "C'mon I'll make you some bre- well, lunch, and we can talk about what to do next"

"He wouldn't tell me what he wanted with me." (Y/n) finished explaining the dream to Sean. "Any ideas?"
"I don't really know a lot about the demon world.." He apologized as he bit into his sandwich. "Anti doesn't talk about it, and I've never really asked.
"(She/he)'s a pure heart. That's why." Anti muttered.
Sean wrinkled his brow and gazed down at his plate.
"Sean? What's wrong?" (She/he) asked.
"Anti said it's because you're a pure heart. I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean though."
"This is ridiculous, I'm coming out." Anti sneered.
Sean suddenly chocked on his food causing (Y/n) to panic. He held his head in pain, then relaxed. Anti moved his neck around, cracking it in odd places.
"M̵̞͇̜̙̼̖̳̲̗̠͍̜̹̟͋̀͑̾̎̏̚ű̴̧̺͕c̵̢̪̤̰̥̩͉̦̤̤͎̝̺̈́̽̄ḫ̴͎̑͆̈́̿͌ better." His voice glitched for a moment before returning to more human tone.
(She/he) stood there, not really knowing what to say or how to react.
Anti dropped the sandwich and stood up, with his hands still on the table. "You have something he wants. A pure heart."
"But what's a pure heart. I don't understand."
Anti made eye contact with a knife holder behind (Y/n). He smiled and walked over to it, picking up the largest knife he could find. "A pure heart is someone who's pureness reaches a certain level above others. There are very few humans in the world that have this, and yer one of them, lass."
(She/he) leaned against their counter and crossed (her/his) arms. "Okay, so I have this level of pureness. Cool, what about it?"
"Dark, like many of us, wants out. To share a body with a human.. it's
ḍ̶̍̆͂̚ĩ̵̟̐͠s̴̲͍̳͛͒͆́g̸͈̯͌u̶̧̬͍͂̆̇s̷̢̯̙͗̌̾̽t̵̳̬̳͑͜͝ỉ̷̼̪̅͌͑ǹ̸͎̹͒͜g̵̰͎̻͉̐͂̓..
There's a loop hole though. If he can get Mark to kill ye, he can take total control over Mark, forever."
(Her/his) eyes widened. "That's-"
"The worst thing that could ever happen to human kind." He spat.
"Why the worst thing?"
"If Dark has a body of his own then he has no limits on what he can do. He'd be the most powerful being in the world. Humans and Demons would be forced to kneel before him."
"That's explains why I've been attacked by strangers, but why now?"
"The pureness doesn't stay. You're a human. You're full of sin. That pureness can leave in the snap of me fingers."
"Well its not like I'm going to go around sinning. I'm a pretty decent person if I must say."
"A lot of humans don't try to be "bad", they do it without even realizing it most of the time which is why there's such a short window." He pointed the knife at her with a smile on his face. "Just look what happened at the club last night."
(She/he) blushed. "I was drunk, what do you expect? I was mad."
"Ye humans are all the same." He laughed. "Making this one jealous, making that one angry. Pathetic."
A smirk appeared on (her/his) face. "So I made you jealous?"
He froze, then spoke out in anger. "Ye pissed me off is what ye did. Sean wouldn't let me hurt that lad with ye either, and yer lucky I didn't."
(She/he) wasn't very comfortable with the way Anti was waving around the knife. (Y/n changed the subject quickly. "How do we stop Dark? If he can't get to me he'll go after someone else, and Mark has a lot of fans to choose from."
"Ooo my f̶̰̟̫̄̾͝ͅa̸̢̙̜̗̓̂̾̉v̷̫̤̾̚o̵̬̪̘͌͛̏͘r̵͕͙̽̐̆̒i̸̟͠ṯ̷̨̎͊͠ḝ̵̖̽̄̀ part." He voice glitching with excitement. "Ye see, the only way to stop him is to kill Marky boy!"
"What!"
"And only a pure heart can do it!" He laughed with joy, to the point of a black colored tear forming at the corner of his eyes. He wiped it and basked in the moment. "I will never get tired of giving bad news. Makes me feel young ye know?"
Anti's gaze turned back to (Y/n) to see them standing at the sink looking out the window.
"You're telling me I have to kill someone who doesn't deserve to die just to get rid of that selfish bastard?" (Her/his) voice spoke with a calm yet sad tone.
"Aye, c'mon lass, I kill all the time. It's easy!"
"You kill for sport, which is disgusting, but you don't even know the victims do you?"
"Does it matter?"
(She/he) turned to him, raising (her/his) voice. " It does when you know them, Anti."
His excitement lowered.
"I met Mark at PAX and ran into him afterwards. We talked, we kept accidentally running into one another in public, we're acquainted but I consider him a long lost friend. I used to watch him all the time back in school. I'm not just killing "some person." I'm killing the hero of millions of people. He doesn't deserve to die."
"It d̴̛̦̖̲̀͂͑o̷̻͕̓̏̄ẻ̷̢̙̳̒ş̶̩̟͌͆͒ͅn̸̯̮͎͓͊̈̂́'̷̤̹̂̍̆͋t̴̨̑ ̵̨͓̼̻̓̓͆͝m̴͖̥͋͜ͅà̴̮͍̋͜ţ̷̮̝̼͌̿̈́͠t̵̡̳̯̘̎͑̽e̶͖̐̌̾r̵̥̞̐̋̽ͅ what you t̷h̷i̴n̷k̴ he d̶̥͛͠e̶̛̕͘ͅs̵̬͚͙̖̒̀ȅ̷̱̺͋͗͐r̸̦̔̾͆̆v̵̬͐é̷̲̈͂́s̷̰͂̈.̷̹̪̇̓." Anti raised his voice. "Either he dies, or the whole world crumbles in his grip because you chose to be the h̴̼͚̮̊͐̅e̵͎̭͎̽̂͒r̴̝͕̄̍͛͆o̵̡̝̹̥̚."
Anti walked slowly towards (her/him) with the knife pointing at their throat.
"Anti, stop!" Sean shouted.
He was soon toe to toe with (Y/n) and picked up her hand wrapping (her/his) fingers around the bottom of the blade, the handle. (Y/n)'s heart was beating out of their chest. (She/he) was challenging a demon. A DEMON.
"If you don't kill mark, then you can consider all of us d̷̼̮̓̌̃͆ę̷͙̝̠̀̿̉a̵̢͖̭̲̅͊̉d̵͉͈̞̀." He warned.
A shocking pain traveled up his spine and into his head as Sean fought for control of him. Anti wasn't going easy this time. He pulled at his hair, and even began to yell in pain. When the switch had ended Sean was on his hands and knees taking deep breaths.
"Sean? Sean are you okay?" (Y/n) begged for an answer as they set the knife in the sink (She/he) moved down to the floor to help him up.
"He was going too far. I couldn't just stand there and-" He stopped speaking.
"He's right though." (She/he) spoke softly. "and I hate it."
