the plan was to make angelina my secret weapon, a threat that no one has ever seen before. never in my plan was i expecting for the girl to reveal herself as a fucking murderer.

"you're telling me that you, a twenty-one year old girl, got away with murder?" i questioned.

"he's been a missing person for two years." she mumbled. "cassie's parents helped me cover it up. i did them justice, they did me justice. it wasn't supposed to be this way though, it wasn't supposed to happen."

"angelina—"

"he was so horrible to me." she shook her head, making my jaw clench. "it just got worse and worse from when cassie died. and then i found out about what he had done... h-he would've killed me. he had a gun, tackled me and pinned me down, wrestled me on he floor. the trigger went off from one nudge i gave him. he was gone, and so was the girl i was back then."

it wasn't her fault, what had happened. though in her mind, any judge would have said otherwise, and for that she wasn't wrong.

"but i'm fine." she lied straight through her teeth. "it's over now, what's done is done."

"you're tougher than i thought, tarantino." i said. "come, we have things to do."

i walked her into the warehouse and brought her to where we stored all our guns.

"listen to me." i said, grabbing her wrist and having her face me. "i get that this is going to make you uneasy, really, i get it. bad things have happened one too many times. but you're safe here, and we need you to train so you can protect yourself. you can do this, you're that tough kid, so believe in yourself. so, have a look around, and choose your weapon."

she cautiously walked around the room of explosives, radio-actives, and killing machines.

"these." she says, picking up two of the smallest handguns i've ever seen.

"doubles." i mumbled as i nodded.

"one for each time there was a gunshot." she winked, putting on the black leather belt and slipping the guns into each pocket.

"you're going to be just fine here, angelina." i nodded. "soon, you'll be ready for larger plans held for this establishment."

"what does that mean?" she asks.

"it means, love, that you are everything that i could possibly envision for this place and so much more." i spoke softly, tilting her chin upward. "we're going to have so much fun here, aren't we?"

"calum? the fuck are you doing letting her have at it with the doubles?"

"stay out of it, hemmings." i face the blonde. "why aren't you in self defence?"

"do you not see me dripping in sweat?" the boy shook his head. "you know how this is supposed to work. therapy first, training after."

"things are different, and i call the shots, not you." i glared. "but bring her to the green room. i'll be there in a moment."

one of the most important rules here: don't ever stand in the way of my plans.
