i wasn't one for dressing up all that much. that night that i went out, the night i got shot, i didn't even dress up like my friends did. i wore black skinny jeans and some matching black bodysuit, and that was as far as i was willing to go. i've explained this to the girls, but thy still wanted to have their fun, and i let them.
"done." they spoke in unison, spinning me to look in he mirror.
"you girls really do know my style." i smiled. "thank you."
"anytime babe." crystal nudged my side. "stick with us and you'll be just fine."
"ready to go?" sierra asked as she opened my door. "i can already smell the chardonnay."
"of course you can." crystal laughed. "alright, let's go party!"
and so the girls guided me to the staircase which overlooked the entire main floor. it was flooded with guests and waiters serving food and drinks. nothing i've ever been to or will ever be used to. i felt pairs of eyes on me. not many, but a good handful. i guess i should have seen it coming, new girl shows up with two of the top guys girls and all that. but that's just my perspective on it. crystal and sierra guided me down the staircase, where we were greeted by luke and michael already.
"you girls look fabulous." michael smiled as his pressed his lips on his girlfriend's cheek.
"you girls did a great job with lina, despite the fact she's the only one not wearing a dress." luke smiles.
"that's because she's not trying to get in cal's pants like the rest of the girls here." crystal points out.
"she doesn't have to wear a dress, she's already beautiful, and have you seen this girl's hair!?" sierra fawned over my curled locks.
"as much as i love my hair, its quite annoying to manage." i sigh. "thank you for all of this. all of you guys, i really appreciate it. i think i might just go back to my room now that i've made an appearance, so if you don't mind—"
"but miss tarantino, the show has only begun." a voice announced, myself now facing none other than the man himself.
"i think i've had quite enough." i nod, turning around to face him.
"angelina, follow me, and i'm not asking." calum says sternly before walking away.
"go, and good luck." luke whispers to me as i scurry along to follow the tall brunette.
i slip through tons of people on end to attempt at following calum, but i wind up losing him in the middle of the crowd.
"who the hell are you?"
when i turn around, i'm met with the face of a girl with long, blonde hair. i didn't know who anyone was here, i wasn't safe. always use a cover story, it makes you vanish into thin air once the night is over.
"cassie." i sputter out. "cassie vega. and you are?"
"i'm not new around here." shes sasses, eyeing me up and down. "your outfit's cute, not as nice as anyone else's here, but cute."
what was this bitch's problem?
"do you have a fucking problem?" i snap. "because quite frankly, i don't have time for this."
"what exactly is it that you're going to do?" she presses.
"i never caught your name, bella." i eyed her up and down.
"is that really any of your business?"
"yes, considering you interrupted me from something i need to do." i rolled my eyes. "besides, don't honestly think that what you say gets to me, you don't phase me. now, if you'll excuse me, i need to find either ashton or luke, michael, and their girlfriends, rather than whore around like you are right now. ciao."
the blonde i had told off looked like she was in pure shock after not being able to throw me down or put me in place. i don't let people push me around, and i'd rather die from standing my ground rather than tragically doing nothing.
