-flashback-

"blake, i swear to god—"

"cal, come on, it's not like she's going to leave." blake continues. "look at what you've built! you guys are only going up from here, there's no stopping either of you. it's what you were both born to do."

"he's got a point, mate." luke agrees. "don't tell him to shut up. we all know how you get when other people are right and you aren't."

"you're a stubborn bitch, hood, it's okay, you can say it."

"shut up, both of you." i rolled my eyes. "i'm just worried, paranoid if you will. i know she won't do that, but what i don't know is if she'll ever change her mind."

"you have nothing to worry about." luke said. "this girl is practically immortal. childhood trauma, trauma facing the death of her best friend & her brother, trauma from her getting shot. hell, she fucking killed her ex and her own parents! all i'm saying is that she's taken on a lot, she's gonna be fine, you're all gonna be fine."

and as soon as luke said those words, those words i vowed to never believe in, that's when the alarms went off and michael ran into the room.

"ambush on the loading docks out back!" michael yells. "they're shooting us all down! they have lina!"

at that point i wasn't thinking at all. i was grabbing my gun and bolting our back, a troop following behind as the alarm was sounded. we ran out there and it was disastrous. the enemy troop were a group of rogue members of the original gang belonging to the tarantino's. it was a suicide mission on their part, all of them were shot dead, or so i thought. as i ran through and across the loading docks, searching for her face among them, i couldn't find her.

she must've been hiding, that was the only explanation, right? the bodies were accounted for, burned and disposed of, but angelina was never accounted for. so we searched and we searched, but nothing. everyone else has accepted it already, that she was gone for good. i wouldn't believe it, i refused to believe it. and i would not rest until i found her.
