I shake my head, snapping myself back into reality. Turning back to my closet, I stare at my cloths, unable to decide what I want to wear. I sigh deep, remembering my phone, and walk over to my desk, slowly plugging it in, and setting it down. Reluctantly, I drag myself back to my closet. Staring blankly at my clothes, I finally settle on an outfit. I slide on a light grey tank top, that sits just above my belly button, and some matching grey, slightly loose joggers. I pause in the mirror at myself, unhappy with how I look. With a heavy sigh I go back to my closet. Instantly, my very bright, aquamarine, blue long sleeve crop top catches my eye. Once I put it on, I look back into the mirror, liking how it sat just below my perky breasts.
I head towards my bed, and just before I sit down, an incessant buzzing comes from my phone.
I should go check that! It's probably Ivy... I hope it's Skimmer! Sky! That was mean! you should hope it's Ivy, she's your... Girlfriend.
Rolling my head, I walk to my desk, and plop onto the chair. My heart stops for a second, as my plopping causes the chair to tip backwards.
Fuck! Sky, be careful. At least no one was here to see that!
I finally get to my phone, unlocking it, and looking at my texts.
Holy fuck! Thirteen messages from Ivy. Three from Skimmer. One from mom.
Reading the text from my mom, I find out that, her work needs her in Stettler, for the summer. She tells me that there is a town called Donalda, not far from Stettler, that I would love, because of the coulees. I chuckle, sending back to her that I would only go if Skimmer came with us.
I open up the texts from Skimmer, as a smile spreads across my face.
1:00pm Skim:
Sorry I had to leave. Just remember
the promise.
1:45pm Sky... are you mad at me? I didn't
mean to hurt or upset you! Please
talk to me...
2:30pm Holy fuck, Girl. Answer Ivy so she
leaves me alone! Side note, how
many texts she send you?
3:00pm Me:
I'm not mad or upset. I understand
you had to leave it's all good
promise! (hugs) I forgot to plug my
phone in! (facepalm) Thirteen.
(Huff)
Smiling at my phone, I close out of Skimmer's messages. Taking a deep breath I open Ivy's texts.
12:00am Babygirl Rivera:
Hey Baby. Sorry I stormed off. I just
wanted you to be happy on your
birthday. I love you. I'm not mad!
(kisses)
10:30am Morning Baby. Hope you had fun
last night. Did you make it home in
one piece? Hey, do you wanna go for
coffee, or have me over when you
wake up?
11:56 Baby, I love you! Text me when you
get this.
12:15pm Are you not answering, because
you're mad about last night?
12:20pm Please Baby, where are you? Are
you ok? Sky, I acted like a bitch
last night. I'm sorry ok! Please
answer.
12:25pm (kisses and hugs) Baby?
12:30pm Is your phone charged yet?
Skimmer told me it was dead,
and that you are "fine". Why did
she put the quotations around
fine?
12:35pm Are you with Skimmer? I won't
be mad, I just want to know
you're safe.
1:17pm Are you home? Can I come by?
Please. (cries)
1:30pm I'm getting worried baby.
Please answer, or I am
coming to your house.
2:00pm Please just answer!
2:45pm I'm leaving my house, Skylin, I
am walking to your place.
Please answer so I can stop
worrying.
3:07pm I am about 5 mins away. If the
door is unlocked I'm just
coming in.
