42... The Last Day

"Tonight is the full moon." Elijah says do Elena, Stefan, and Allyson. "We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse."

"Elena said the Sun and the Moon curse is fake?" Allyson speaks as she looks up at Elijah, she is still upset and she still has the bite marks from Damon. "Thay it's actually a curse placed on Klaus?"

"Klaus is a vampire born if a werewolf bloodline." Elijah explains. "The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it... He'll be a true hybrid... Much like you are, Mrs Salvatore."

"Then why are we letting him break the curse?" Damon asks as he joins the group in the room, not bothering to apologize to Allyson because she's hidden behind the original vampire. "We Can Kill him today. With Bonnie."

"Damon..."

"No." Elena cuts her boyfriend off. "Bonnie can't use thay much power without dying."

"We've done decided," Allyson says as she steps up from behind Elijah, Damon's eyes widen. "I'm killing Klaus."

"She's the most powerful with on the earth, ever, more powerful than any other I met." Elijah claims. "She Can lock bomnie in the house with her magic and she will come with me to the site."

"No." Damon denies.

"After last night, you're not going to tell me what to do." Allyson demands, the others in the room remain silent. "You're lucky my blood turns to vervain when attacked by vampires."

"How do we break the curse?" Stefan asks, interrupting the couple's banter.

"Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward." Elijah replies. "The ingredients, so to speak, you already know."

"The moonstone," Stefan says.

"A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound without the stone." Elijah explains. "After that, Klaus, being born werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each."

"And where do I fit into it?" Elena asks.

"That's the final part of the ritual." Elijah replies, and he takes a wooden box off of a shelf. "Klaus mush drink the blood of the doppelgänger... To the point of your death."

Damon looks at the doppelgänger and Stefan takes Elena's hand. Elijah opens up the wooden box, and removes a jar of something from it.

"And that's where you come in." Elena says.

"This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina." Elijah explains. "It possesses mystical properties of resucication."

"So I'll be dead?" Elena asks.

"And then you won't." Elijah finishes for her.

"That's your plan?" Damon asks. "A magical witch potion with no expiration date?" Damon looks at Elena. "You want to come back to life, what about John's ring?"

"Those rings only work on humans." Elijah informs the oldest Salvatore. "The doppelgänger's a supernatural occurance. Odds are, the ring won't work."
