Nix paced inside her room, agitated. The only thing keeping her calm was the soft humming of her dragon, who was currently draped across her shoulders like a scarf. She knew that her Rider was scared and filled with uneasy anticipation about what she had to tell Jaydon any time now.

Ok, now this is getting ridiculous, Clara retorted.

Nix stopped pacing and gently lifted her dragon off her shoulder, staring at the bright blue eyes that matched her Rider's incredulously. "Yes, well, it might be ridiculous, but now I have to explain both to my sister and Jaydon what I remember from before I should even have memories!"

After Nix's little revelation that she knew who killed Jay's mother, Flamma had questioned how and why Nix knew the the voice of a murderer when they had spent their whole lives together and she didn't remember ever hearing or seeing anyone so sketchy.

She had refused, saying that she needed time to explain, and they let her. Lunch had been tense with Jay, who hadn't said a word since, and also quiet because Flamma and Leo had decided to sit with their designated team. It had hurt, but Nix understood. She probably would have done the same in their position.

As soon as she had finished eating, not even waiting for the end of lunch, Nix had bolted to her room with her tiny dragon in tow, locking herself up with the knowledge that her sister, best friend and only groupmate would want to talk to her. The rest of the classes were a rush, specifically because the teachers just told them to relax since they assumed that none of them would be able to access their magic so quickly, not knowing one student already had. The Magical Creatures teacher was out, supposedly trying to catch a Golem, so there wasn't anything to do then. She ate dinner quickly as well, running to her room as soon as she was done, like lunch, and now she was forced to wait for the same people she was trying to avoid.

Clara made a snickering sound, squirming in her Rider's hold. You will definitely have to, and I think you should as well. This isn't something you can keep quiet.

The triple element Rider stilled and stared at her triple element dragon, eyes narrowing as something came to her. "You went through my memories, didn't you?"

Clara sniffed but didn't decide to answer. Opening her mouth, Nix was about to say something when a hard knock appeared at the door. She froze, her already white face paling to the sound of the knock. Her cheek's color seemed to completely evaporate the moment she heard Flamma calling through the door and telling her to let them in.

Walking to the door, Nix took a deep breath before opening the door and staring at the three faces of the people who wanted answers. Well, Leo didn't really need the answers, but he probably still wanted them.

She bit her lip and took a step back, allowing them to come into her room. Flamma, who's lips were pressed together tightly, walked in without acknowledging her sister, although she obviously would when it was time to speak. Her dragon glared at Nix, obviously angry that she had upset his Rider. Leo wandered in, glancing at the bedroom he had already been in and merely nodded at Nix. His dragon merely looked confused, glancing at Clara, and I was certain that they were conversing quietly.

Now Jaydon. . . Oh dear gods, Nix thought to herself.

Gone was the carefree, slightly flirty boy that she had become accustomed to in only a couple days. His brow was furrowed, eyes harder than she had ever seen them, and muscles stiff in what she could only assume was anger. She couldn't tell how his dragon felt about it since he was too big to go into any of the student's rooms now, but she knew that he was probably angry with her as well.

Nix's pressure on her lip increased as she closed the door behind her, turning to the three people and wondering whose reaction would be worse to what she was about to tell them.
