"Bella and I would like to personally welcome all new members to our family and say a big HELLO to all of you who have been around for a while.

The Pub has been in existence now for just over a month and we feel we have succeeded beyond even our wildest dreams. The response has been amazing and the quality of Poetry featured here is, to say the least, unbelievable.

Please remember the Poets Pub was set up to promote this wonderful Literary form and the talented writers who are a part of it. We ask of everyone to take a few minutes out of your day and check us out here.

Pull up a stool and read some of the amazing Poems featured and get to the know the Poets behind the Poems. So many of these younger and newer Poets need your support and a kind word goes a long way.

As for those of us who have been hanging here for years... Well we could use a pat on the back now and then as well. This is a site for Poets, by Poets and to promote Poets.

Lets all do our part and make this a success."

This is a quote from the Poets Pub, July 2015 when I was one of the newer 'poets' who was looking for a place to test the waters, having no experience whatsoever. The welcome was warm, sincere and backed up by a no fuss inclusion of my very first attempt - By The River.

I can only say that since hoisting myself onto that pub stool and meeting such an amazing group of people I have never looked back and hopefully have contributed by trying to pay that welcome forward.
