To my friend
To my friend who called out to me
Who gave me hope and made me see
All the things I was missing out on
And sent me a smiling emoticon
To my friend who taught me the verse
With whom I could openly rehearse
The fundamentals of poetry
written with perfect symmetry
To my friend who believed in me
And told me I just need to be a devotee
And I'll achieve my dreams
Through schemes and extremes
To my friend with whom I could discuss
Life, science and all that fuss
Who put up an interesting conundrum and sorted out something cumbersome
To my friend whom I couldn't mention
Don't worry, you have my attention.
